can i know wat's the difference btween 6230 n 6600? it seems not much difference cos they both got mmc card slot n bluetooth, 6230 even got radio function, i just bought a 6600, kinda regret, can any1 tells me wats da difference? pls~~

This is a really good phone.I have it.It`s fast,pretty good camera,good conectivity,good stand-by,good screen...and also many other things.Shortly it is the best phone Nokia made since the 6310i,Which is a little old.It`s the best.

*#92702689# [*#war0anty#] takes you to a secret menu with 6 choices:
1. Displays Serial Number.
2. Displays the Month and Year of Manufacture (MMYY)
3. Displays (if there) the date where the phone was purchased (MMYY)
4. Displays the date of the last repairment - if found (0000)
5. shows how many hours the phone has been on

Klaas is a funny guy. Making no sense but is still dominating around here :P doh!
I never used an SE phone and had my old nokia 3210 for AGES... luckily I lost it a few days ago and will get a new 6230 in a few days.. with a UK contract it was very cheap ;) got a vodaphone anytine 100 min / 100 texts contract for £25 and with that the phone for free.
Can't complain about that :P

ok can u tell me where the hell i can find the time of calls on my shity T610 ?? where can i find software or games for it ?? why the hell i cant use it in the sun light ??? why dont i use the camera other than it is like shit ?? why the battery is so weeaaaaaaaaaaakkk.... why it is slow ? thats the legendary T610 u and ur people happy with ..... now lets take its app. from nokia witch i think it is the 7250i.... much better camera games and applications everywhere ..... good screen although it is only 4k and the shity T610 65K.... memory is much bigger... and and and and and.... shall i go on ??

Very Individualistic, each has his or her preference. Most important, we must like the phone we buy and of course you pay more and you get a better range regardless of any brand.
Just to recap, many years back Ericsson came out a killer and that was GH388 and dominate the whole Singapore market for some time until Nokia launched the 6110. From then onwards, nokia have been dominating the Singapore market till today. I think Nokia will still continue to dominate the Singapore for at least another 5-10 years.

this klaas person is under some heavy substances. makes no sense what he is saying.
lady, get your 6230 from germany. here are many that sell the phone under 400 euros and deliver to eu area.
klaas do you know the price of k700i? nobody does. see finnished he made a point that nobody can know that now. we do not even know when it come surely.
menu & interface matter of taste.

It is not important who is better.Only round the behavior of some men at the forum.They are not honest against other men to provide info.
I have also the 6230, but only I have less good words about the 6230.
Example, I cannot record up via the MMC slot it's limit.
I cannot listen longer to MP3 less then 4 hours.
The quality of MP3 player is reasonable, but not as good as the P900.
It feels also cheap.
And that all for almost 500,- Euro too expensive.The K700i cost approximately 350,- Euro,that's why i buy a K700i.
And i have sell the 6230 for 450,- euro to a Nokia freak :D
I have the 6230 almost 2 weeks it will be borring after weeks.

In France where I am now the price of 6230 is 499 Euros. But I live in Thailand where the price is 18200 Bahts (379 Euros).
I will buy it next month. Any problem so far with the first batch ?
I would like to play samples (a few seconds) of DVD and VCD files on the 6230. Any idea how to convert those files in the 6230 video format ? Thanks

Went to see K700i. Yes the resolution is better and the screen is bigger than Nokia, but no matter what resolution, you'll hardly see it in the sun. Not any Nokia has ugly menu and interface for my taste. As for the memory, they are pretty much the same. I didn't check the price, but all in all, these mobiles, I dare say, are in the same class, SE lovers will buy SE, Nokia crazed Nokia. What a beautiful world ! If/when Nokia dissapoints me, I might considering switching to something else, very likely to SE. Then I'll come to Nokia forum to listen about how good SE is. Why's that ?

Only the K700i is a possible rival.
The facts between 6230 and K700i is.
Screen 65K Active TFT 128x128 pixels agains 65K TFT 176x220 pixel.
Menu and interface
6230 has a ugly menu and interface,the K700i has very good Menu and interface.
Both have Radio and MP3 players.
6230 has a MMC slot and the K700i has only 32 MB.
The answer: The K700i

I just phoned the shop, it has finally come out and it costs 540 bloody EUR !!! Thanks Finnished for the comment, could you buy me one in Finland and send down here :) ! Anyway, if I buy it abroad, is warranty given worthy in my country, by authorized Nokia representative service ? I know Sony has that politics, what about Nokia?

Nobody can take Klaas comments seriously as his writing skills compare to that of first graders and his comments sound idiotic. He is like a crooked car salesman trying to convince us to buy a VW instead of a Mercedes. And at same price. Maybe he is a paid marketing gimmick by Nokia showing what kind of a moron you will turn into after using SE phones. ;)
6230 is the best phone I've ever used. It has everything I need and more. Other brands are closing the gap but at the moment this has no rival in the market with as numerous features as 6230 has. SE fans, name one phone which has all of the following and is out in the market as we speak:
- mp3 ringtones
- FM radio
- removable MMC card to include several cds and not limited to 128 mb
- small size, weight under 100 grams
- bluetooth
- TFT 65k color screen
- EDGE
Answer: there isn't any other than 6230.

I found something bad about the software Nokia 6230 maybe only the first batch having tis problem.When u took a photo and set as wallpaper(A).Then u took another photo replaced the previous photo as a wallpaper(B).Now if u intend to delete the first photo u took u are unable to.The only ways is to on/off the phone or using default setting.

go for the best and get the best! simple as that, my comment on nokia 6230 is very good, perhaps sonyericsson is good but not very good. i have used se most of the models including p900, but no one of it is user friendly as nokia and it's the fact. you think why nokia has been no.1 all these years in the market, because of the user friendly interface. it's truth!
