    hi people, some help needed, i have the n6230 and also have a bluetooth key for the pc-i can send songs no problem but cant dind any software that i can use to cut parts of songs to use as ringtones - can anyone tell me any software available for download off the net?
    Any help greatly appreciated.

      Hi der, i bot N6230,can any 1 help me to search pc suit so dat i can install it on Win 98 (asia). the software which has cum vit d cell supports only XP n 2000. Pls help

        A great phone.But the 5-way navigation key is rubbish...Nokia knew it and made an extra button on 6230i.

          I have Had my Nokia 6230 for a weeki now and it experiences problems such as freezing while viewing movie clip. It also has a tendency of switching off and back on again by itself.. All in all, good phone but bad picture quality.. Also very bad selection of frames to add to photos compared to samsung phones.. Hpe the 6230i has overcome these shortcomings or else i'll have to invest in a sansung.. Its just a matter of time before Samsung Lead the cellphone market...

            I've been using a 6230 since last year. Bought 1 more for my wife.

            My previous gripe was not able to use 256Mb MMC, but in the 2nd unit i bought, with Firmware 4.46, this problem is solved. Display size? I've learnt to live with it.

            Best part of the phone is the MP3 player. The sound quality is superb! I was looking at 02 Xphone II - really liked it. But - will the MP3 player sound as good as the 6230? I dont know. Then came in news about the "Nokia Display Headset HS-6" - this really gets me excited. I'll get that one once it's out.

            So, for now, I can't think of moving to other phone or smartphone, coz the 6230 is really keeping me happy - I only have 6230i to look fwd to.

                        after software upgrade it works like 6230i (less 1.3 mp camera) plays AAC files also..wow

                          try udgrade ur N6230 os 2 ver05.24 it will bcome a much greater phone
                          the music player can even play mp3 inside a folder in the mmc

                            I think it's a great phone but can anyone tell me the supported files by video player of nokia 6230 ? Does it support only MPEG-4.?

                              I recently purchased N6230. The features and UI are quite impressive. The processing speed of fone is also nice. The key drawback is the weird display :( only 128*128 pixels.
                              But as this fone is meant solely for professional use, hence it wont effect its overall value. anyways a nice phone and highly recommended.

                                Can anyone confirmed that the max MMC storage size supported by N6230 is ONLY 512MB n not 1GB?

                                  N6230 can play MP3 songs directly from the MMC.
                                  I was having this problem initially but when I went back to the Nokia Servicing Centre, I was told to copy these MP3 songs to the root directory.....and it works perfectly. DO NOT create any folder else it won't recognise and definitely won't work. Cheers...

                                    On 6230 what’s the maximum MMC memory Capacity can go. mean upto 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB or 1GB...???

                                      Can the music player in 6230 play MP3 files from the memory card, my 6230 plays the MP3's that are stored on the phone memory only doesnt even recognize the MP3 files on the memory card.

                                        Can somebody let me know if the screen size (not the resolution) of 6230, 6230i, 6610 and 6230 are the same or different.
