I dont think u can change the firmware usin DKU-2 cable, bluetooth or IR...U need a flash adapter to flash the firmware..which is the way it is done at a Nokia outlet...there is a particular flash adapter for each Nokia model...I think the RH-12 is used for the 6230..

For the guy who wants to change the firmware, DO NOT use BT, use only the DKU 2 cable. infact BT wont work cos it requires the OS to keep functioning. so basically you'll need to use the cable

For the person who asked about mp3 as a ringtone,yes,it´s possible...you can use mp3 with any bitrate (such as 96, 128,256Kb/sec) and it works perfectly...and the speaker is very loud and clear...

you cannot record from the radio on this handset, but there is a way, there is a headphone to audio out connector, get in in the market, in india we do, get that and connect to the music system or the audio in into your computer , thats the one with the audio out and the mic in at the back of the computer. hope it solves your problem

this mobilephone being a saleman is the guru to nokias, first in the line for nokias in bringing people everything they need in a nice compact size. so wat if its not megapixel, its reliable and eazy to use, the way of all nokias,this fone sets standards and meets requirements, anyone who says its crap, hasnt a clue about mobilephones.

All the Features that i need. excellent receptions, great speaker. i think this is nokias best phone of the year 2004. i am currently using my phone. just a suggestion get the 256 MB MMC card if u are a music lover. bye
