sony ericsson k700 produces louder ringing volume than 6230.how about 6230i,will it also be beaten by k700? i think nokia speakers are not as good as sonys' .is that true,anybody?

i have created a folder in my memory card for pictures, but i cant move pictures in2 the folder because it just goes 2 d memory card. how can i move the pictures to the picture folder which is also in the memory card????? Does anyone understand what i am trying to say, please if you do can you help me on this!

i love my new phone so beautiful in design shape and colour, the smell and appearence of luxury, divine and awe inspiring, years i spent searching for such a magnifficent handset, i climbed moutains in search of this, ran accross fields, swam deep oceans, then i decided to go to a phone shop, where i bought it. why dont they make it eaier to get such things of excellence?!

you can stall applications as long as it is java, but regarding face warp i have yet to come across such application that can run on series 40

thanks for the answer about the bass, i actually tried tinkering with the equalizer but the bass is not improved... the sound is actually good enough just lacked that darn bass boost, i'l be getting a customized adaptor created by a 3rd party tomorrow, hopefully it pushes through, i'l post here if there are improvements, if any...
the 6230i is the best bang for the buck, not necessarily tops in all its functions but it has them all so its a good all-around "simple" phone...

My firmware is only 3.40, perhaps i will get it upgraded this weekend to see if it actually extends battery life.
Yes battery life can last 2 days (max). about 15mins of talktime, 2-3 hrs radio & mp3 playback.
For the other query on mp3 bass:
As for increase in bass, u can try the equaliser function, haven't tried it out, should be able to help a little i suppose. But nokia has started selling the media adapter which allows you to use 3.5mm jack for conventional earphones, but how you are supposed to answer a call, i have yet to try out coz i had wanted to buy but the nokia sales representatives couldn't help on that.
I suppose at least there is an equaliser on this phone but for my N6680 & N70, i couldn't find this feature, not sure if the other symbian phones have them.
On the whole, this phone can do most basic functions except for those who wants mass storage for sms(es), this phone can't handle, go for the symbian phones but only 6630, 6680 & above (symbian OS 8.0 & above)will have the switch memory function to memory card feature in them.
With this you can also receive larger file/mp3 via bluetooth bcoz nokia receives bluetooth thru the sms unlike SE where it allows you to choose phone or card memory.
To the other query:
to transfer a file if you have saved it in the card already, just move cursor to that file, select options, move, move to, mmc, open folder, choose the folder & it should be done.
Reason i bought this phone, was after playing around with the high-end phones, you only suffer to see new models keep appearing just like after i bought 6680, website showed n70, after i bought n70 on the first day it launched, next day i see n80.
At least phones in this range, you dun get worked up so much, not many other models coming out, nokia seems to be concentrating on the high-ended ones now. So this is the best buy with radio, mp3, memory card (cheap to buy also). DARN GOOD PHONE for this value price.

im abit confused about the folders. when i create a folder on d mem card, how can i add stuf in2 d folder which is saved in the mem crd ?!? can sum1 plz tell me!

i own a 6230i for almost a month now and i personally think its a solid phone, has not yet hanged on me even once... as for the battery, it lasts me only almost 2 days with average use of mp3 player and radio... lasts only 24 hoursnwith extensive use...
i have one main gripe though is that the phone lacks bass in its mp3 player... i have compared it side by side, same song, etc, with the 6630 and its comparable except for that bass thing, to those who have used a customized adaptor to use your regular earphones, does it really make a big difference from the normal nokia headset? thanks...

What about the Battery, even though this subject had been discussed here for a long time from many angles, I am still not convinced as I haven't tried.
Daily 30 minutes of music, and around 15 minutes of talking and 10 minutes of camera usage, and some more minutes of fiddling. How many days will the battery last from fully charged point?
Also, firmware updates above 3.46? anyone?

Hope I try to answer some of the queries at one go.
No 6230i doesn't have spreadsheet & quickoffice functions & cannot be downloaded, if you require these application, try using a symbian phone, 6630, 6680, 7610, 6670, N70.....
You can't compare a 6630 with the 6230i, its different, targeted for different group of users.
I must admit, this is a good phone & reasonably priced to fight SE K750i, except it has a 1.3mp camera & no photolight plus it support upto 512mb. Nevertheless a very worthwhile buy coz it's still relatively cheaper than K750i.
Construction is solid, mp3 playback doesn't skip & its clear thru loudspeaker & headset.
Very good of nokia to input the select button, easier to use compared to 6230.
But I face one minor problem, sometimes ringtone selected for a profile, when phone rings it skips back to the default nokia tone, dunno why but nothing major actually.
Would be great if nokia can switch the sms memory to the memory card so that more messages can be stored though, like the 6680 & N70.

thanks NokiaMia,i know which to buy now.MY friend got a w800(great camera and mp3 quality)but it's like lagging badly sometimes.And it's much more expensive.SO 6230i is my choice.

Hi.. (to regular experts like NokiaMia, Jo, Inquisitor n others..) long time no see from my side :)
I was roaming with SE K750i posts. Came back and found 6230i still being praised here..
SE K750i is really a great phone..but let me tell you it is all about what family you are used to. Some people love SE, some like Nokia smartphones, others love java beans.. etc.
I need following clarifications -
1. Latest firmware
2. Does MP3 playback skip now with 3.46 firmware as it used to happen with some users complaining about it here.. ?
3. Camera updates..
