I like this phone - it's very easy to use, although the main menu button is a bit fiddly. However, one thing that annoys me is that my sms inbox gets full extremely quickly, ie: when it's got less than 20 messages in it. Also, if I want to transfer a message from my inbox to another folder to avoid deleting it, it says "message memory full" when the folder is empty! Can anyone advise? Am I doing something wrong???

MEDIAPLAYER: NokiaMia what is this I hear about the Media Player having a FF (fast forward) & RR (rewind) features but yet it does nothing ?

RINGING: Also, even though you love the ascending ringtone feature, it would have been nice if they made it an option rather than an acceptance. It is said that the ascending feature kicks in once the volume goes to 4 or 5 bars, is this true ? When I'm in an office I set my phone to the lowest ringing level or vibrate only so I can live without the ascending feature. When I'm in public I like it when my phone rings full blast so it can turn an eye or two :-). If only there was a way to disable it. I hope Nokia looks into this and add an option to turn these types of features on or off.

MEMORY: Just to make sure, the phone is able to read Reduced Size MMC (RS-MMC) cards right ?

          6230:

I recently transferred an 'MP4' video file to my 6230 and the phone refused to play the file. Nokia states that the phone is able to play MP4 files so I don't know why that happened. Have any ideas ? The file was taken from a SE K700.

That's it for now. Take care.

when sending files (even business cards) using Blue Tooth & IR a massage appears saying "data send failure" (or some thing similar meaning). This happens after sucsesful sending of 1-2 files. my firm ware is version 3.25. Pls advise me if anyone knows the answer.

This is a good phone, the mp3 player is has good quality stereo sound can compared to mp3 player, unlike the 3230. and im quite pleased with the midi sound. however, i realise that the music when played in the media player(not music player) cannot rewind nor foward, and the light will remain on thruout the playing. can anyone teach me how to rewind of forward if possible and to turn of the light.my firmware is 3.30 i wonder if 3.40 has solved the problem.

This phone has everything I need. And its fast! Its great for work and play and everything in between. Great music and video playback quality, strong signal, nokia still the best at texting, great interface for syncing to pc etc... This phone does everything well and I can customize it to my taste. This is the total package right here.

I got this phone last month and it's nothing but a worthless piece of plastic. The screen freezes up, the keys get stuck, and sometimes the phone doesn't ring. If it does ring, it rings a different tone then it was assigned! Don't bother buying this phone as it is just a waste of time and money. Get a Motorola or Samsung!
