i think tat 6230i is better after many reviews i saw well its new and it can even last for 10 years like nokia 3310,3315 did.6600 is old and its quite bulky so it might fit those big sized ppl ;) moreover this phone can be used for all ppl with big hands too and its definitely a blast 6230i rocks!

AAC stands for Advance Audio Coding, which is nothing but an extension type for audio files just like MP3. But unlike MP3, AAC format gives you greater quality audio with minimum data rates amounting to smaller file sizes.No big deal. But don't convert your mp3s to aac as it will lead to poorer quality audio.

Forget about the Get Connected Wizard. Its really crap. My one also hung up. I was just giving you possible ways to get your datacable recognised by your computer.Just keep the DKU-2 selected always in the Manage Connections menu. Thats it. All the best to you Pal.

i just bought this 6230i on tuesday to replace my one-year-old 6230... i really enjoy this phone since it offers the most beneficial needs from the previous 6230 in better and more advanced way ^^ especially the precious 208x208 pixel screen... ooh i'm loving it and it will stay for another year (or more) with me :D

now the computer can find the fone but the get connection wizzard just like freezes up.
i got windows xp so its sweet there.

Besides the latest version of PC Suite (6.5), it'd help if you also have the latest set of drivers for the DKU-2 Cable. That can be downloaded here.

People who have the ascending tone issue - see if you have this issuse with formats other than mp3. I do not have ascending tone issue with midi or other formats but it exists for a mp3 ring tone, even though I've edited it to a small size. Probably the format is the culprit...but yes, these issues should have been ironed out by Nokia.

I got it a week ago. It is a good phone, good display, good sound. The battery lasts 1,5 days. The problems I have encountered are : asscending ringing even when it is on normal, no more then 1 bluetooth conection at a time, only 50 persons in phonebook groups. The goods are the radio, is is clear, the mp3 player that does not consumes very much battery. In genereal is a good phone, I an satisfied.

Hi Brett, what Window are u using at present. FYI, Win98 & below "cannot" support data cable regardless of downloading what ever software. I've encounter this problem & went for refund the next day as Nokia care told me that only Win2K above can support. Besides that, the battery is also a headache as it only last about 2 days even u minimize the use of applications....
As for the accending problem, the only way is to put to ringtone also for messaging receiving as to "sound" longer for alerting of SMS rec'd.

i up dated my pc suite like u said to 6.5.12 but when i do the get connected thing i dosnt do any thing how long should it take??
and when ever i plug in the cable the computer dosnt no what it is...
i hate all this technology stuff!
