Hi Anj,
The problem you are referring to is surely a serious one with a bunch pf them reporting the same issue. I got the same problem with my handset i bought in the first week of its release here in Bangalore, India. But this is no software issue. Its a hardware problem and my handset has been taken back by the company. In fact no shop here has a stock of 6230i as of now. All have been recalled. They will mostly get new stocks this week.

Hey guyez how are you?:)Please help me..I don't know which GSM should I buy Nokia 3230 or Nokia 6230i..I like Nokia 6230i more but it hasn't symbian...please help me!!=)

HEY GUYS! I think I've almost been converted to Nokia from SonyEricsson. Maybe I'll buy this but I have some questions first. Please help me, answer them if you can!
Can you make a setting so the Itap thing disappears, so that you only use the usual T9?
When you make a password for the phone in stand-by, so no one but you can use the phone. Do you get to choose the password yourself? How many digits do you have to fill in?
Is mp3-ringtones loud enough, like the usual ringtones?
Please guys, if you have any reviews on this phone or anything, give me the tips.
The only lack I'm finding to this point is the lack of camera-functions, which is bad :(.

Hi
I think this mobile is a masterpiece. It can do every thing you can imagine. The image quality is perfect. The LCD colors are perfect. I myself could not imagine a small phone like this doing such things. The sound quality is aslo perfect when using the loudspeaker.

It has very recently been noticed that 6230i has a serious problem that FM - mainly with handsfree...when i connect handsfree - there is no audio available either when i get a call or try to listen to audio... has any one the same problem... my dealer says there a a bunch of probs related to the first stock of these phones which came in & he has also sent to the company for some software upgradations which should resolve the issue

Hi everyone!
I've bought and upgrade MMC up to 512Mb then copied ".wmv" format movie file to my Nokia 6230i. But It could not be played by Media player function in my phone. So please tell me which format of movie file can play in Nokia 6230i? And how can I transfer to this format when I have another one? Or Must I install another kind of Media player to my phone? Thank you in advance for your kind to answer my silly questions.

i just got this mobile and found out a bug. play a video (my mmc card has a 3gp ad of promo of this mobile) and let it play past it length and it will keep on playing (timer will not stop) now press the stop button and the phone crashes.
any one have this problem

My 6230i doesn't accept e-mail settings. If I select Messages>Message setting>E-mail messages, instead of showing settings options this msg appears: "No settings found. Contact your service provider". This doesn't look as a service provider problem but as a software problem. Can anyone help?

Hi, i really like this nokia 6230i, but i have a little problem with it. When i set my sounds on the highest level (5) and after that, someone calls me, or i receive a SMS i almost don't hear it, because suddenly the tone is very quiet... Grtz

If you want the background to be white, just set the Theme to basic-all colors theme gone.

i know this may sound stupid or amusing, but my phone didn't have a camera at all!!!! i realized this after 2 weeks of using it and i changed it for a good one... i laughed all that day long... but i was lucky i found the problem fast, otherwise...
