    Hi All,

6230i seems to be the perfect phone with lill bit of everything. But, I want to know about its MP3 player. Is it stereophonic like in the case of N-Gage or it is monophonic like in the case of 6600 or 3230?
Review doesn't mention about this nor does the nokia website

there's nothing much to clarify about the stereo fm radio on both phones. both have stereo mp3 players and fm radio. since you know that both have stereo fm, y bother about wrong information?

the difference between the two phones? please use the 'compare' function found on this site, or go to Nokia's website to compare the phones.

Bugs are probably fixed in new firmware.. Did you guys think this new phone could be bug free?

There's more bugs on this thing than i can list. I really hope someone from Nokia reads this because they made a genuine pile of crap. My third, MY THIRD handset is bad as well. Nokia obviously doesn't stand for quality anymore.

I just bought a Nokia 6230i and have already experienced problems. Firstly when you add clip-arts and frames to pictures the phone does not allow you to do this. It says "Not Allowed By Activation Key". When I went for an exchange the same thing happend. I think all the U.K Nokia 6230i's have this problem. I have since got a refund.

I had the opportunity to try out my six-month-old 6230 with a friend's brand new 6230i. After a couple of days it became obvious that the newer phone is very good indeed. 6230 is no pushover but 6230i makes a very bold attempt of putting it in the shade. It does not answer every gripe about the old phone and even introduces a few of its own, but what is good about the improvements is that they are from complete reworkings and not just add-ons.

My verdict is that 6230i is an absolutely splendid piece of work and it is impossible not to be impressed with it. But somehow I cannot get over the fact that this fantastic new phone lacks its own identity.

6230i's image is tied to 6230, but without exactly the same degree of charm and character that has made 6230 so special and the icon that it is. This is one attribute that is too overwhelming to ignore and one that not too many 6230 owners will be in a hurry to give up.

What do you mean by broked(T9), the dictionary is very poor or what? I have to say that i'm sorry for this phone which wants to be a "buisness" one, with this kind of lifetime battery it doesn't have a chance to stay on top(so many function but so little time :)))

@T-man : Yes, I am a 6230i user , but I didn't have 6230 before, although a very good friend of mine has that model. If the camera does not interest you very much, I can't tell there is so much difference between the 2 models. In my opinion 6230i menu is more laggy than the previous model. Another plus of the 6230i is the display , that is obviously enchanced.
                        Some more minuses:
The T9 is borked; The Push-to-talk and EDGE services are not available in my country (Romania) ; I can't make the difference between the sound quality of the two models

10x for answering mayday147; I want to know if you are a user of nokia 6230i because I want to ask you if is worth it to buy 6230i instead of 6230(for me the 1.3 mp don't make a big difference)

@T-man : The battery is pretty poor as it lasts for max 2 days, without radio/bluetooth/mp3/camera. If you use this, it will lasts for 12 hours max.

Are you in India ? I was just wondering if the phone has been released in India ?

OK ok ok, i was wondering if this would work good in the USA, i live in NY, and i have a 6230. I love the phone to death, but i want the clearer display and the camera.
I noticed that it doesn't have an 850 band, and was wondering if that's a HUGE problem for the US market.

I will be getting my third one in a few days. The bluetooth died on my first one in addition to it heating up and draining the battery in a matter of hours. My second one wouldn't even turn on, the screen just flashed white. If my third one is defective they will giive me another model. I hope it is becaue this phone is rubbish.

Alessandro, i really love nokia phones, and my opinion is that this is the best brand of mobile phones. I baught the phone 4 days ago for your interest, and if you dont believe me that i baught it, i dont really care, so i am not an anti-nokia fan. However, i sold samsung D500 for Nokia 6230i because Nokia is a durable phone that doesen't break as easy as samsung does, otherwise i wouldn't have sold D500 for nothing(Although i regreted the sound mate and rapidity of menu, screen etc.)!!! As technology D500 is better than 6230 from all aspects unless memory card ! B.T.W. D 500 i baught brand new from romanian gypsyes who steal from england and send in romania, with 100 euro :))) c ya

Can someone please tell me for how long the battery "stays alive" (for real - because I know that at 6230 the battery lasts around 3 days without mp3 or radio listening, wich to me seems not quite good)
