i like this phone coz its small......i hate this phone coz its not symbian.....well check out the camera quality guys ...the pictures taken with this phone is of very poor quality compared to 6630 or 7710.....i donno how the mp3 sounds but as i can read from the review that its has no bass....i would appreciate 6630's mp3 play back quality......well it has 64 chord polyphonic midi tones....but i prefer .aac or .mp3 to midi.......and bot the net surfing on the phone.. i am not sure but from the review i gather that it doesnt support graphics(it says sites are in the form of jst texts)....any way its styling is wat attracts me.....a perfect look.......and i only wish it had a better camera like 6630's......(jst check out the photo comparison of both in the review and u will know)......i still would go for 6630 but its not a complete phone too its ram is what pisses me off......only 10mb....and the dvrs mmc prob......any ve as for me if one doesnt use the handset to listen to mp3's then y dont u consider 6670?? ...i will call this phone jack of all trade(like our beloved 6600).......;-)

6230i What a phone!!! You just cant beat Nokia for being user friendly! This phone just has it all! Themes are a nice touch too, well pleased with it. Running a 1GB mmc card in it with no probs whatsoever!

Quesation for everybody who already has this phone:

Q:How long does the battery lives?
After my first charge, mine lived just ~12hours. I mention that I used the radio, camera, GPRS and I talked for about 1 hour. Is this good or bad for this phone?

Just tested one of the first 6230i phones in Romania. The phone is quite pretty, but the pictures taken by the camera looks realy bad, compared to 6670, 7610 or 6630.

Hi, Ive been eagerly waiting for this model for over two months now. Last month when I contacted Vodafone, they told me that it would be available on 14th April. However, when I phoned this morning to order one, the lady at Vodafone said it wont be available until 18th May!!!! So as you can see, there is already a variety of conflicting advice. Is there anyone out there (read, anyone who works at Vodafone) who can tell us when it will be released.
Also, I will take this opportunity to say what a great phone I think it is. My mate has got the base model 6230, and even that is a sound bit of kit. Small in size, big in features (ie you can make calls and text!!) What more does one want??
Here's an Interesting thought - Out of all the saddo, geeks that whine about phones with inferior MP3's and camera's etc, I wonder how many of these actually have an interest/understanding of music/photography and fashion?? Answer - probably zero! So come on guys/girls, Get a life, a phone is a phone. Lets not get upset eh??

                                  DEAR READER'S
(((About T9: I never use it, to me it is not practical. So it does not bother me.
I don't understand how statements like "this phone sucks" add any value for others considering to buy this phone. An elaboration would be nice.)))

Another point I want to make. This is a business oriented phone (6000 series). In my opinion it has (nearly) all the business features, a camera cannot be considered a business feature, neither a radio. From this perspective comparing it with e.g. the K750i does not make sense. As a business user, the 6230i would give superb data features. Consider a "business user" with a laptop at the airport: switch on Bluetooth of both devices, use EDGE of the phone, and there is a perfect connection. The multimedia features are there to play with when the user has to spend some time waiting (at the airport for example)!

sorry my nokia hated still exists

if you actually read the review they final note stated frankly that the t9 was very poor...

yet you state that it is a phone and for talking and messaging... why would you include messaging when the t9 is very poor...

more nokia junk for the trash pile of never ending nokia crap pile

Guys remember what we have here is basically a phone. Let us not judge the 6230i for its lack of some features because its intention is really bringing us means of communication such as talk and messaging functions. Whats great is that it has tons of features yet its not considered as a smart phone. It even outperforms some of the smartphones available. I think this is the phone for practical users because all of the basic phone features are there plus a lot of extra multimedia features can be found. This is indeed a good purchase.
