i have the latest firmware V3.80 and a 1GB MMC it still got currupt even with the latest firmware it wont format or anything?? just dont get it or it could be the memory card got currupt with one of my files??

This phone does support 1GB MMC most repair guys will tell u only 512mb coz they dont know about the firmware update... Also u should format ur card from time to time to avoid fragmentation

6230i can support only up to 512MB MMC ,it wont work with 1GB,2GB or higher it gets currupt and wont work

This phone is really great, it has blue tooth, infared, camera, video, radio, loud speaker, mp3 player. It has alot of things. The only thing is it isn't a flip phone but it's really great. You should buy this phone and the nokia6230.

they're gonna replace my MMC, btw, I was told, that the phone cannot use a >512 MB memory card..

help!! iv got a nokia 6230i and iv jus got a 2gb memory card but i cant format it! iv tried doing it through my fone but it just says operation faild and i can do it through my computer... why wont it work??? help asap plzz xx

i have used a 1GB MMC in 6230i and after 2 months its CURRUPT...as the person said below the phone gets currupt thats whats happend to me
this phone sucksssss if 1GB cannot be used

does anyone know if a feature exists to select contacts from microsoft outlook contacts to synchronise to the 6230i-- do not want to transfer all the contacts . MM

I own a nokia 6230i and it is great since its my first phone. but the phone is only designed to hold 512 mb cards or lower so 1gb will not work and if it does then your phone will soon become corrupt. Overall this is a great business phone and has just about everything u need.

are you sure you have got 6230i - becuase when i check my memory status it says 27MB free only the original 6230 has 6MB built in but that doenst have themes??????? so i think you might of been cheated on 6230-6230i some1 has sold you a 6230 with a 6230i cover!?

I successfully installed themes and can apply them to the fone from the MMC itself.
But, the question of the choked phone memory still remains a mystery to me...

6320i is compatible with 2GB MMC but plzzz dont get a crap brand and Themes can be used in the memory card and saved in memory card.

ask becuase they might replace it if its still under warranty and its nothing do with the phone software the problem is in the memory card.

so my card warranty is void now, isn't it, cuz it's my fault that the card is infected :( Or should I ask to check it nevertheless? What I want least is to reprogram the phone itself...
