yeh i think that is the problem my memory card is currupt when i got it...and im usin alot so the fone will restart..with a currupt memory card..

LOVELY PHONE with fantastic features, but it keeps LOOSING NETWORK, i ve changed it twice in one week, still suffering the same thing. please i need help cos i love the phone

Thanks for the input, am currently using a 128mb card and its really insufficient 2 bad 1 gb cards are expensive , also, maybe ur phone used to restart its self wen using the music player coz the memorycard has always been faulty 2 begin with.Maybe just a suggestion.

I've just bought 512 MB mmc and the usb, so now I'm totally equipped and kickin' hehe :) battery sucks pretty much, but I'm using it actively. I dunno why my mp3 player won't refresh itself without having too turn the phone off/on. It's weird. Could you recommend some good software to sync my nokia with pc? thank you.

my 6230i version v3.80 does restart in the music player it still does occasionally still dont know what is causing it recently my 1GB MMC has got currupt so the music player cant start..yh 6230i can handle 1GB MMC with no problem...yh the 6230 has v5.80 but thats a different type of platform...yh 1GB MMC will work in 6230i no problem...

Hi just wanted to know if ur phone stopped restaring its self wen using the music player & what was the problem? Mine does Not have the same problem am just curious 2 know what caused it, also i wanted to know if my phone with version 3.88 can support a 1gb card without problems, and is 3.88 the latest firmware coz the 6230 has up to version 5.80 according to original jamaican. Thanks.

hay ppl, can 6230i play eAAC,eAAC+,WMA,WAV files? Can 6230i record songs 4m FM radio(just like n-gage and mp3 players)?

I hated Nokia. Until I've got this thingy. It destroyed all my predudices. Of course, I've been using it just for three days, but I simply can't imagine what else I could need or do with a phone. Smarphones don't count (actually I'm gonna get the 6290, but just because I'm convinced by the 6230i, that Nokia ain't no evil, quite the opposite :). So, it's almost perfect. The design perhaps is not the most subtle and eye catching, but quite solid (the 6th series is always on top in this respect, well at least in the Nokia context). The only thing I'm worrying is battery life - I'm not sure, that 900 mAh will make it last at least 4 days... but we'll see.
How to turn the screen during voice recording off? Ain't it stupid, that despite the battery saving mode being on, the screen's still switched on? Why do we need that?

Is it me???? or are nokia headsets having major issues, the headsts that came with my 6230i(hds-3) have a problem the cable at the end near the pop port connector is problematic, if twist it just a bit the sound goes only 2 one earphone so wen the phones in ur pocket the sound keeps cutting of esp wen walking, sometimes wen u connect it does not get recognizes or wen listening 2 fm radio the phone says connec enhancement, i have even tried them on a 6270 and 3200 and its the same, sometimes they behave buts its quite irritating. i then bought (hs-23) headsets on saturday and they are now starting to behave the same way and 2day is thursday thak God they have a one yr warrenty. Whats HAPPENING NOKIA??????????????

Well to be frank, i tried many mobile phones, but this Nokia 6230i is the best!
Although people might dislike its outer look or design, but its inner beauty is remarkable!
Quality, Durability, functions, options, menu, price ... everything is great! it is the perfect phone for normal users!

no dont buy w810i it has more problems......you can update your firmware by going to a Nokia care center(service centre)...theyl upgrade it free for you if you have the warranty the firnware upgrade will fix everything...i had v3.40 it was the same yours ..i upgraded to v3.80 it is working fine now...no problems with it......just plzzz dont buy w810i its more of a problem than 6230i

My 6230i won't sync contacts with Pc Suite. When i try it blanks the screen and computer indicates it has been disconected. The i recieve warning 'Check Your connections and try again'.aLSOit won't play MPEG4 videos,itdoesnt show song info if music file is AAC,M4U. Im dissapointed and im moving to W810.
