The latest version is 3.70 for the mobile, can contact the customer care for the details.

For MP4 video you have to dwonload a software which converts avi to mp4 search for this software from the net.

About the phone, its 5 months me using the phone.

Good features:
1. High res camera 1.3MP which matches with good pictures if taken properly.
2. Clarity of Sound for MP3's.
3. A phone with all necessary features MP3, 1.3 MP camera, Blue tooth, Radio, GPRS, EDGE.
Also not the least Great Resolution.

Bad Features:
1. Poor Battery life.

If Nokia people are reading this article then i have a request for them to plaese come up with a battery of more life capacity.

                                    Mike,

3GP is compressed with MP4 standard.. but that's the only video extension that you can play on 6230i. That's why Nokia gave the Ulead Video Toolbox to convert other video file into 3GP. THe quality is bad. Try "Im TOO 3GP" program.. it's a lot better and you can set the quality. IT takes more video format than the Ulead Video Toolbox.

Hey everybody. I want to ask whether this phone can play MPEG4 files. I had this phone for about 6 months now and the only types of video files it can play is 3GP and on the site it says it can play MPEG4 as well so does my fone need a update or sumthing?

                                        To Niks,

No.2 Yes, you can transfer in and out of the phone memory using datacable, without taking the MMC card out. You can also do it with Infra Red which takes a long time, as well as bluetooth I suppose
