To Niks,
No.2 Yes, you can transfer in and out of the phone memory using datacable, without taking the MMC card out. You can also do it with Infra Red which takes a long time, as well as bluetooth I suppose

Hi everyone,
Pls give me some advices. I'm thinking of buying this phone, 6230i. However Samsung X700 also caught my attention. For long term usage, features and quality, which phone would you advise me to get? I like Samsung X700, but it does not have memo function which is very important for me. Thx

The market price is approx. £139.
If you click on the phone and scroll down it tells you options to buy and typical prices through littlewoods etc.
cheers

hi everybody, i have the same problem as the other guy who wrote his comments earlier. A copy of his comment as follows: Hi everybody
I've got a Nokia 6230i wich is T-Mobile branded. The simlock on the phone is already removed, but when i turn off the phone, there's still a t-mobile screen. There's also a menu item called t-zones. Can anybody tell me how this can be removed??

Experienced Problem with the RECORDER
1) The screen remains lit while recording is in progress, even if it takes an hour.
2) Cannot delete multiple messages at once
3) Cannot transfer/move/delete multiple files at once
4) Cannot record from radio (recording phone conversations is possible, which is a great feature of this phone)

I think that this phone is a function packed one, just that this phone doesn't have as much class and colour display as the Nokia 8800, but the functions are all better:
Advantages:
1. Loudspeaker superb
2. All connections available (Bluetooth etc.)
3. 3GP and MP4 Videos supported, 3GP and MP4
format are all associated with the AMR
format, so the audio may not be that good.
4. 1.3 Megapixel camera, enough. For your
laptop / LCD screen display, the most
common resolution now is 1280x1024,
which is the same as the camera
resolution.
5. You can use your phone as a music player,
radio, and camera.
Disadvantages:
1. The battery lifespan is quite short, my
phone can last for 3-4 days, it would last
for 3 days if I use it a lot.
2. The music player sometimes go haywire,
the buttons will not come up if you press
it sometimes, (Is Nokia trying to prove
that the DIGITAL Music Player will be
spoiled too?)
3. If your firmware is V.3.70, good for you,
if your software is not updated, of
course, all the complaints will all come
in, come on, you bought your warranty
card for nothing??!!! GO SERVICE IT!!!
4. The camera, when recording videos...
in 3GP format, sigh... N-Series is
already advancing to the MP4 generation,
so the quality may not be satisfactory.
Love this phone so much!!! One of the best
phones ever. Bluetooth, Infrared, USB, Music
Player (With Equaliser), Radio, Superb Loudspeaker, Large LCD Screen, Brightness is bbright enough even at night (I use it as a
torchlight : ))... etc. I cannot name them
all, and it's still consistent with the
Nokia N-Series, at least...

Hi Stu, there are 2 possible answers to your request....first, could it be that your "summary after call" on settings>call>summary is switched on. Turning that off could solve it. Secondly, and giving it a good thought, this sounds more like O2 automated service. I would suggest you give them a quick call and request it to be turned off...Perhaps that helps?? Anyway, just a couple of ideas....take care.
