Yes, "jee"; the maker's battery tends to run out. When I tried to use the stopwatch, I had problems, but they disappeared when I ran the stopwatch with the phone on the charger. If you were timing Olympic races at the stadium, this wouldn't be possible! However, otherwise I am very pleased with the Nokia 6230i.

Hi guys, follow up on my question earlier - I've done the test myself, comparing a 6230i and N70. No chance, i like 6230i best. It is quicker, easier to use and just a better phone all round - for ME anyway. Regards.

Hey Sumitt - I got a nokia 6230i ans use loads of ringtones, most of which are MP3's. so yes, you can download your MP3 to your MMC card and use them as your ringtone. Take care, hope this helps!

Hy Anand, I think this is because perhaps T-Mobile gets their produce/allocation of phones direct from Singapore. However, what is the source of your purchase - high street or internet (Ebay)?? Most of the time people change the fascias as the original ones get damaged in transit.

Hey Ricardo, American phones are normally open to all networks, and the nokia 6230i is triband. So, in answer to your question, YES, it will work just fine, with any sim card, including TIM. All the best.

Hello people! I just got this mob y'day from Singapore. It has "T mobile" printed on the back cover (which I thot is a bit odd), what does this mean? Aprreciate if you could throw some light on this. Cheers!

Hey Denny, I asked about MP3 ringtones and not songs, is it possible to download mp3 ringtones on mmc card and play them as ringtones. Are you a 6230i user. Please reply.

Follow up on my own entry here, below.....I have checked out, and, apparently, you CANNOT delete all the text message reports at once. You have to do it one by one. This is like, a step back....you know? My 6230 used to offer that option. Anyway, this 6230i is a beauty in so many ways. Ah, a little help to those asking these questions....I've had my 6230i from O2, had it unlocked, and use orange sim card at the mo. It works fine. Also, had 32mb mmc card in it, as well as 128 and 512mb. They all work fine, and there is no problems with the speed of the phone due to the max mem card. however, i haven't tested this from the battery consumption point of view. thanks!

Hi guys, had the 6230 for a year, just got the 6230i; had this one for 2 weeks. Everything is fine, works just as i thought it would. Menu is a tad slower than 6230 but ok. Now, my question is, on my 6230, I use to be able to delete all my reports (from text delivery report) at once. This model won't let me, i have to remove one by one. Any way i can change that? No major bug if not, i love the phone either way. Also, i've been given a N70 - but haven't even touched it yet - anyone out there has/had 6230i&N70 and would like to do a "real person" comparison? just main points really, nothing too fussy....thanks.

I saw 2GB is possible... dunno if it works fine regarding the access time.

                                    summit,

easy download and play mp3, yes, it does pretty good job on tat.. but if you have a lot of songs, probably will take ages to refresh the song list to be ready to play your song.
Also, i didn't find any way to arrange the song list.. maybe others know about this????

Headset function as antenna.. without headset, you can't turn on the radio. But if your radio is on, you can turn on the loudspeaker after that(while the headset still attached).

do you have to necessarily use the head set to listen to radio or does it also play through its loudspeaker.

If the sole criterion for buying a phone is easy downloadability of mp3 and polyphonic ringtones and playing them , should I buy this phone ?
