The phone is brilliant..I use it extensively and think its probably the best feature packed phone... However, some things remain lacking.. Could someone please inform me about the following:
1) While watching movies thru MMC card (3GGP)..How can i resume playback after (lets say 30mins).. are there any FF/REW buttons, cause I could find any
2) is there a way to read huge quantities of text(lets say an e-book quantity of 300KB) ..Iv tried to save thru messages, but the maximum text of 3KB can be held in one messg.
Wud appreciate some help.

Hello there,
I am from the UK. I Have this phone. If anyone is thinking to buy the Nokia 6230 it is aexcellent buy . It has so many features to use and it a sophisticated looking phone. You won't regret buying it anyway. I haven't despite a few minor nagging things with the phone.
I have learnt how to use all its features such as 'send to many' the editing feature, organising the gallery folders etc and it is really an excellent phone and a nice size too. It is rather a classy phone to be honest. I have made a personal album with one folder, a home folder which I can show to family members when I visit them. a greeting folder for my collection of what ever time of the year greetings . All prepared. The memory card is certianly a handy feature.

Troublesome spots :
Some times It has gone off on it's own a couple of time but if you just close it and reopen it, it's okay again. If anyone has any problems regarding it not recharging too, properly especially after a while , it may be time to replace the battery. When I replaced the battery , it was okay again and still is up to now
The cover was extremely difficult to get off at first and I was really mad with it, nothing get a lady more madder than to have to break her fingers nails each time to change the cover. Anyway as the saying goes: ' practice makes perfect' I can now easily remove it. I woudn't want to go through that again though!

You may even add a pic that you can identify with them, my friend loves cats, so her image is a pic of a kitten hehe.
For effective use of the camera, pictures are best taken in good lighting areas.
One things that bugs me is , that I can't find any clip arts for the phone , where on earth do you get them? Nokia's own collection of a wine glass and devils horns ( think they are lol) are not exactly pics with which I want to edit a pic…. have to say they are misers regarding the choice of clip arts :o. Tsk tsk tsk! Come on Nokia, you can be a bit more generous!
Apart from those little troublesome things, the phone is really very good and fun to use.

hi everyone, i have this problem on my phone nokia 6230i "especially in images": when i connect the phone to pc via cable and transfer the images i took via camera, the images are not shown clearly on the pc and they look unclrear. n.b. my phone's software is t-mobile. ok thanks

nokia 6230iis da best fone eva it has great pcamera qulity its battery is the best i had a motorola i had to charge every 10 sec this fone is so small and jam paked with features sound quity is awesome and loud enogh its awesome i have movies on my fone and tv shows

to fotis 'operation failed' means that the video didnt send properly or it didnt connect properly with the other device.

This phone is rubbish. I have had it replaced 3 times. The ring tone switches itself down to ascending for no reason.My next phone the bluetooth wouldn't work. Now my last phone it has wiped the voice dialling messages off.It's to slow.
Come on Nokia i've buying your phones for years.

Small MagicBOX. this phone is every thing which u can wish in a GOOD handset. Camera, sound, memory card, Radio (IN HANDY SIZE)

i have the firmware version 3.50 and i heard v 3.62 and 3.70 is out do any one have it and is there any improvments thanks...

One of the best phone I have had so far. However I have noticed a strange phenomena: if I am on a call and the voicemail system alerts me of a message, the alerts simply dims the call and plays the alert tone loudly even the other party hears it. The call (mostly) resumes thereafter. This is not noticed someone sends a text message though.

My Phone Has Switched Itself Off Once Or Twice And A Couple Of Pixels Have Gone Black :( lol
Doesn't Come With A USB Port So If Your Computer Isnt Compatible With Bluetooth Or Infa Red And You Want To Recieve Files From It Via USB Order One In Advance To Avoid Disappoinment
Overall
Good Phone And Will Last Me A Good Few years

Maybe this phone wil be the last nokia i am buying !Forget about the features, display it's very good also, but the phone works only ascending , mode no matter how you set him up. SO the result is missed calls, cause when you hear it if you don't answer in few seconds you Missed the call. Basicly people who know me and tryin to call me , reach me when i get back to them.It's not just mine to ensure you , and it's not about the firmware. I misslead my friend to buy one , we both screw up.I always been NOkia guy , but maybe the reason why the people like them so much is gone.

I'm a proud owner of this phone. I recently upgraded the MMC to 512 MB. But after inserting it on the phone, it's showing me that the size is 489.7MB. Is that normal? I mean almost 22MB has disappeared!

Hi, I found this phone the best among other phones. I never used all features in this phone but I can listen music, can take pictures, etc. I never tried capturing video. I found one bug that when I receive a phone call sometimes it wont show the person name even the contact exists. Some features are not good enough when compare to sony ericsson. Like contact photo displays very small and some times it wont displays....Over all the phone is quite good.

this phone is great! the camera is brill the bluetooth/infared is fab! its a great phone and i reccomend it to people looking for a simple yet brilliant phone! :)

To Miri: I don't think you guys use the half of the features out of these phone's, well the phone is good featured and it's a eye catcher by the way so i'm happy with these features but also better:) but half are useless.

To Boggey: No you can send file's to other handsets. no mather it's 1.1v or 1.2v or 2.0 it's a newer version of bluetooth. but you can send files to other handsets.
