ei sir dani thanks for confirming that the walkman series' battery indeed lasts longer than 6233^_^
but have you been able to use a 6233 with bp-6m? hehehe it's battery lasts quite a long time too^_^

as a phone...I must say the w810 feels a bit more "complete" as it does what it is supposed to do properly
but there is no denying that 6233 is unique in it's functions, it seems that nokia tried compiling a lot of advanced features in the phone that they forgot to implement the basics properly
though it is not a flaw, 6233 would have been better off with a better music player application, the hardware is there, but the software fell short
the music player does what it is supposed to do, but with the 6233's hardware it has so much more potential that it was simply hindered by the application that nokia has used...
6233 pawns the n73 in the stereo speakers department... why? Go figure....
the video player, 6233 boasts a screen resolution which is alot better than w810 but for some reason nokia forgot, and is still forgetting, to implement a rewind and fast forward function when playing videos why this is so....beats me...again, the potential to enjoy videos alot better than w810's iteration is there as 6233's hardware is superior but the video player of 6233 again hinders it's potential...
w810 can do a thousand contacts while the 6233 can do 500 contacts only...(main advantage of w810 over the 6233 for me)
though if im not mistaken, 6233's messaging is better than the w810 as it can do flash messaging, and is not limited in the number of inbox messages it is only limited to how much is it's available internal memory....
again in the camera department you cannot say that w810 is really better than 6233 as 6233 is better in video capturing than w810 which is also regarded as a camera function...
6233 has both 3g and edge though it doesnt have a front camera w810 doesnt have 3g...
w810 has a better radio implementation as it has RDS
well all in all 6233 shines in it's advantages over the w810, but it also shines in its flaws over the w810, while the w810 is a safer choice of the two...
if the 6233 has what you are looking for in a phone and you're feeling adventurous go ahead, pick the 6233...you wont regret it...
if you are fond of a phone delivering the basics in spades and a whole lot more...look no further w810 is here for you...
on a side note....it seems 6233 is alot cheaper even though it is newer than the w810 but if money is not a problem well the choice is yours to make^_^ good luck in whatever it is that you buy sir sumeet^_^

thnx everyone for posting ur views regarding my concern abt nokia 6233 and SE w810i..but ihave still not zeroed in..i want a true value of money..plzz..help me out..lets start a voting series..plz give ur votes in favour of nokia 6233 or SEw810 with the reason for ur choice..may be this will help me chose the better phone..i expect everyone wud participate..thnx in advance

its a hard choice W810i and 6233 .....

the nokia 6233 is the very special phone. i think nokia's best phone.battery talk time up to 6 hrs.i enjoyed my life with nokia 6233.u not enjy ur phone try nokia 6233 challenge.

btw...I dont have a w810 Im basing my experience from having been able to use the k800 for quite some time, well it seems the 6233's battery lasts longer and Im assuming that w810's battery lasts longer than the k800 as it is a music oriented phone...sooo Im guessing as the walkman series of S.E. are known to have long battery life w10's battery may last longer than the 6233...
for a nokia, 6233's battery lasts longer than most if not all of the nokia models...and going by the specs sheet n6233's battery is more powerful than w810's but there are several 6233 units that are equipped with only a bl-5b(correct me if im wrong) as there are people who seem to find the battery to drain out faster than expected
but for as long as your 6233's battery is bp-6m it lasts quite long, I've been using the mp3 player for more than 5 hours now and the battery gauge still registers full...and to think Im currently using only a "class a" bp-6m heheheh

well the w810 really has a better camera for still pictures than the 6233
autofocus helps in lessening the chance getting a blurry picture
though if you have a steady hand you could probably do the same and some pros who have tried using cellphones for taking artististic shots prefer doing it manually on several occasions^_^
6233 cannot compete with the w810's quality in low light as it has a led flash
honestly, in low light conditions 6630 beats 6233 in terms of having less noise in the pictures taken
6233 by default, cant do macro like w810, (though, there is a lens upgrade for the 6233 for you to be able to do so, but it's quite awkward looking as the upgrade kinda makes the 6233 have the tube like lens of those digicams hehe) macro is used for taking pictures of small texts and close up objects
in good lighting e.g. daytime or outdoors 6233 can compete with even the S.E.k800 I have posted several pics in the last few pages for comparison hehehe^_^
6233 has 8 times the resolution of the video recording of the w810 as w810's video recording QCIF (176x144) and 6233 has VGA (640x480) that is the main advantage that the 6233 has probably due to it having a faster processor
it is said that 6233 is built to run up to 2gb smoothly, but that doesnt mean 6233 cant take in a 4gb heehehehe, theoretically 6233 should be able to run a 4gb memory smoothly... but no reliable source have confirmed it yet

dear dani you forgot to add that the 6233 has 3G and edge while w810 only has edge ^_^
and having 3d stereo speakers and a better screen display coupled with 8 times the video resolution is in itself a big difference and a big advantage over the w810

let me tell you in all the wayys W810i is better then 6233
W810i Memory is up to 4GB - 6233 up to 2GB
W810i 2MP with AF/Flash - 6233 just 2MP
W810i GREAT Battery Life - 6233 not as good
W810i has Walkman - 6233 has a basic Music Player
W810i 30Hrs of Music Playback - 6233 11 Hrs
and as for your Answer
Autofocus and Flash make a HUGEEE Difference in terms of its Camera Result ...
W810i KILLS the 6233 in the Camera Department and also Music
the Only Things the 6233 has over the W810i are .VGA Video..Stereo Speakers..and the 240+320 Display ...thats it ....
W810i Kills it in everything else...

hi CARLOUD..as i have seen you are very prompt in answering the querries to best of ur knowledge and i really appreciate that..hope u can come up with another good and convincing answer regarding my querry..i m tossing up between nokia 6233 and SE w810i..both have rich features but as far as camera is concerned i have heard w810 takes a big lead..nokia 6233 lacks autofocus and flash..this is a big let down..can u plz throw some light on its camera quality?? can its night mode compete with flash of w810i? does lacking autofocus really makes it a loser to w810i? what abt the battery life?and it also comes with lesser memory and data cable too is missing frm the pack.? i m really confused..i m attracted to 6233 but these features of camera makes me hesitant as i want good pic quality and music together,.

iv had mine since September 2006
No Problems with it! the VGA Video is Great ..the 2MP comes close to K750i's which my cousin has! the Stereo Speakers SHEEESHHH!!!! there LOUDDD!!! beaten most Phones including N95 in terms of Loudness!!!!!! and the Keypad is TOP NOTCH same with Navigation it has a Nice Feel to it aswell,its Confortable and Very Nice Display its Largee!!
Overall the 6233 does what it says on the Tin..Business First then Pleasure..Nokia got that Spot ON !

it has a 2mpixel camera for still photos (1600x1200)
if you are to record videos it has VGA resolution at (640 x480)
it has a very good camera considering the fact that 97% of fones that are out today record videos at
QCIF (176x144) n7xx series of nokia records at CIF (352x288)which is 4 times the resolution of QCIF like (e.g. k800 records videos at QCIF only)
VGA has 4 times the resolution of CIF or QVGA (320x240)
it is the highest resolution to datee for cellphones that have video recording ability
n95,n93,6233,6280,6288,n81,6500slide,dv2 these fones record videos at VGA resolution!!!!

i know this has 2 mp camera. But some one says it is only VGA camera only ? Is sure this phone have good camera quality ?
