I bought this phone,this is somewhat good,but my phone there are so many problems found.technicians said me this is very dengorous problem this can not solve.so you have to think about it before gettin
my phone is restared everytime,some told me this is a software problem actually this is a hardware problem.

this is the ideal follow up of the 6230x , good battery life strong screen good camera, nice browsing. Not a smartphone (Use n80 also) so is a good business phone. use n80 (battery ,,) for internet but this is great phone.

hi,
i bought my 6233 yesterday...i think its really awsum fone!..
one question - what duration should the initial set of recharges be?..my fone rechardge to full capacity within 45 mins first time..the dealer said to charge it for 4-5 hours..but the user guide says that u shouldn't recharge it after it shows fully charged...so i am really confused.
i have heard that the initial set of recharges can affect the battery performance later on.
so any info on this will be highly appreciated.

i just had my firmware updated a few hours ago and the result is absolutely astounding. Update now people to the ltest firmware.

very solid build.only not intelligent like sony ericsson K750 since no multitasking while browsing,no camera flash,no camera cover BUT better battery life,screen resolution,video,symbian OS,good stereo sound,full connectivity,edge and bigger screen

I bought a Nokia6233 phone recently. I was using a Nokia5200 before which was a good phone with many features but not up to the quality of 6233 like the screen,camera,sound n all and jus bcos the sliding mechanism n white colour was not comfortable.
In 5200 I could view the CALL LOG when I press the green button(ie. call button) and similarly one of the Navigation keys could be assigned to view the Message Inbox,
but in 6233 I can view only the dialled numbers when I press the call button and I cannot find Inbox selection for navigation keys.
I regularly use these two features, so could anybody help me out in doing the above features.

well, problems do occur but it is not restricted to just the 6233, it can happen to any other mobile phone as well
sometimes it 's a matter of luck, sad to say it and is quite annoying to accept that it is a fact n order to lessen the chance of this happening to us we should be cautious in buying things...specially high tech devices such as these mobile phones
In purchasing a product we take risks, the best way to counter these risks is to buy a unit that has warranty in order to lessen the hassle that we may have if ever we get a crappy unit
as with the rumors that problems occur in the 6233 more frequently than any other mobile fones...hmm based on the forums that I have been to... even though there are alot of problems occuring with the 6233 unit, it is less compared to other mobile fones like smartphones such as the nseries or in the pseries of S.E. and is quite stable compared to the 6288 and 6280 and other nokia models
In cases like what a sir posted below in relation to having problems with dots in his/her pictures
well the solution to that is dont take pictures in poor lighting ANY camera that has no flash would take pictures that look crappy in poor lighting, and yes the night mode doesnt help here it only increases the noise even more...but if you would notice, by default, the camera of the 6233 is brighter than other mobiles fones so there is no real need to use the night mode anyways hehe... these dots...aka "dead pixels" are quite common nowadays even with the sony ericssons k610
If you really need to take pictures at night then I suggest downloading the "noiseware community" program for the P.C.
it's a free application in which you will be able to lessen the noises and the dead pixels from the pictures taken by your phone or digicam ^_^

heheh thanks for the info sir donandress hmm we'll wait and see on how powerful the n82 really is, but for now seems to me it's just like the n95 with less ram and a better flash...but time will tell I guess hehehehe.
the smartphone which could probably do more than 7 applications however is probably the rumored p5 of sony ericsson...if it the rumors becomes true...it is gonna be one badass smartphone as it has a processor of 550mhz hehehehe

you've pointed out that one of the cons of the 6233 doesnt have stereo widening...err have you tested the unit itself sir? Because the reason why it doesnt have stereo widening unlike the 6300 and 6131 is because it doesnt need it as it has a 3d sound chip plus a stereo speaker which completely obliterates the 6300's and the 6131's speakers with stereo widening enabled...heheh go figure ^_^ it is even louder than it's smartphone counterpart which is the n73 hehe tested it myself...

please look the some news commers experience. Is this are true ? In these guys have some of more bad experience. They say this is a problem making fone. so please help me.Which is the good phone the price range 6233 ? Please tell me "Which is the complete Man " .

1) Hi everyone, I have got this mobile , normal edition, but i found the picture clarity is less... I have taken couple of images which had so much of dots in it. Can anyone do you guys face this or is there any solution to make clear in the same model?

6233 lovers look carefully 2 ur phone cons:
1.its display became old not match 16 million color display
2.its mp3 player not satisfy even 6y boy
3.bad headset
4.no stereo widening
5.a bit thick
but 2 b honest its stereo speakers r respectable nothing else

It turns out that Nokia N82, which is about to come, is so powerful that it can handle many background applications without any noticeable loss of the overall power.
If you are interested please look at this site and search for adequate article (first look or similar). They tested a prototype.
