I got this phone today.
I'm really impressed!
First of all, I must say that I've red a lot of reviews and opinions about Nokia 6233 and have formed my own superior view for this mobile phone: simple, perfect in its functions and pleasent to use.
Well, nothing less - it's really easy to understand and pleasent to use. And speakers and camera are quality enough! :)
I don't regret!

how's the new 5.10 firmware? can you deqactivate the camsera sound?

@raziya,
Get it from Nokia Software Update. You'll need a data cable for this (DKU-2 or CA-53). It only takes about half-hout or less if you are on broadband Internet connection.

Depends if you want Symbian(smartphone)
if you dont want symbian get 6233
6300 is only for people who want "slim"
6233 has the rest as in great feautures

Hi! guys n sisters. I bought that phone one month later, It is very good phone because Its small, also has 3g for any network, I can not compare with another an expensive mobiles , this mobile is good actual for some body who like mobile music like me. But I experiance one or more problem when I set music video as ringtone, When the phone coming, My caller can not hear me until I remove video ring tone. Whay this problem? and how to resolve that? I also updated my 6233 to v5.10 and did not notice any major changes from v4.91. I notice some annoyances, however, in that there are some apps where the background image is distorted by very fine vertical lines when displaying a dialog box in the foreground. You can test this by loading a Java App (ex. MicroCalc) and then selecting About in the main menu. You will notice that the background image gets distorted somewhat with fine vertical lines (which I do not remember happening with v4.91 firmware). =)

all 6233 phones Start low becuase the Speakers are Soo loud if it starts Loud it will Make you Jump in Shock.thats why Nokia have made it Ascending.for that reason.

it would be better to record your Object with the 6233 becuase it has VGA video recording at the resolution of 640+480 - but QCIF resolution is 176+144
see the difference in pixel
QCIF - 176+144
VGA - 640+480

Hey plz advice me if I am doing a video recording from phone which 3.2 MP camera having CIF resolution and from 6233 having 2MP having VGA resolution will it make a difference if i am trying to video recording of an object who is bit far of distance. will there be difference in quality of the video taken

Yes,photos and video both use 8 x zoom.
Trust me the speakers are so loud on 6233 when Fully Equalised its like a HI-FI !!!!!!!!!!!
my 6233 has beaten just about every phone in terms of being Loud.!!!!!!!!!!

hey i got this phone 3 days before wow excellent sound quality loudest sound ever among the available phones in the market......i don hafta use a music player at all......one doubt,i found that there are two volume settings one is for the music player and the other you will notice when u press the volume keys when the phone is idle wat is it used for????????????plz do reply

we can use connnect MC-60 for RCA jack stereo, so we use amplifier for more louder
