Hey .. You got problem with that music player .. that it keeps switching off . . i got it too .. but i fixed it . very simple . . go to you network setting . just don't use dual band network .. instead , use the GSM. And you music player works fine already .. serious .. i never try the other option which is the UT..

Hey... 786... What happened.. You are one who admire much about this phone.. Why changing company..? What about You're updating your firmware? Update it, than all problems will go out.. Nokia is not good, but It's the best... Don't get disappointed.. Every problem has its solution.. Ok?... Keep rocking ppl with nokia 6233... My best wishes wit you... i have had Nokia 6230 and 6230i only 6230 doesnt restart but 6230i did the same thing ...its so annyoying im sick of it now...

i have had this phone for 4 months and every time i start the music player and im half way through my favourite song it RESTARTS ITSELF im like grrrr then i have to restart the music agen go to trak 190 and then afta 20 mins it restarts agen its soo annoying now im changing company now -- hate nokia and this problem of restarting so annyoying

A friend of mine just updated his phone to 4.91 at the Nokia Service Center in Festival Supermall. It came with a 6 month warranty, I think it should be good for another Firmware update within the said time. Also, it cost him around 560Pesos (around 10 US$).

I believe that you are not going to be successful in having the lights-on feature enabled. Nokia was forced to disable that feature to follow the EU regulations in in-car driving. It sucks I know, but don't blame it on Nokia though, since most new phones together with other brands are following suit.

Contrary to what NIKET says, this is actually one of the best phones that Nokia has released. Please don't complain that it can't run softwares(that isn't even a word), you should've known or researched the fact that it's a series 40 phone, not a series 60. To think of it, it already has so many features, ad the fact that it DOES NOT GET VIRUSES due to the nature of the Series40. It is also much more stable, and have you seen the video it captures? For a mobile phone it's the best, for only a fraction of the price of the N93.
Regarding WMA files, I'll try it out. WMA@96kbps sounds almost the same as MP3@128kbps, fit more songs! :)
Anybody here know what the updates for the new firmware has over the 4.52 version? I really hope that we can get good FF and REW video capabilities, I was really hoping to watch some TV series with this phone, with its 240 by 320 px screen.

u r rite the phone gets switch offr when music player is playing and switch on automatically after few seconds this is the worst phone with all defects in it.

this phone really sucks this is the worst phone nokia has launched.this phone does not have any softwares is this good in todays time phone which could not accept softwares is just like a srap.i had just buy this phone because it was excellent and now when i came to know that this phone cannot accept any softwares i think sony ericson and moto r good besides nokia. nokia has been a like a dust bin. do anyone know which softwares this phone can accept or firmware for bluetooth plz tell me plz
nokia would never do better of its customers but we being anyway friends can help each other.

i got my phone upgraded to 4.91 i dont think so there is any changes...

John, I love this phone but I have to admit that the SE's Walkman phones (i.e. W300) are better. But since i'm not a pickler when it comes to sounds, i'm happy with the sound quality of my 6233 as is. =)
