well iv just swapped this phone for a W810i well this phones sound quality through the 3.5mm standard headphones adaptor is really goood iv got the adaptor it is so clear the sound and everthing --
but w810i has the standard earphones but i bought the adaptor for that to 3.5mm adaptor i put my standard headphones in w810i and its not as good as 6233s but the walkman earphones are the best the walkman earphones are lethalll i like them........

Erm... I m quite satisfied wif tis phone until now. Since I bought it last two month, It already brought to me a joyful life.Tis phone got great stereo loudspeaker, large screen size, dictionary, accept many types of audio file and so on. But stil got some major disadvantage... poor battery life and less internal memory... and one more... I donno got tis kind of problem... At the morning, I check for phone internal memory still got 500 kb. Then i left the phone at there and don even touch the phone but no longer later, my phone internal memory can drop until only 10 kb... CAn someone help me?

Overall a great phone. Have been usign this phone for over a month.
The Great
--------
1. Big screen
2. Good, clear, high res tft screen.
3. Great and loud stereo speakers.
4. Good battery life.
5. Buttons have good textile feel.
6. Looks good.
7. Good 2MP camera.
The Torture
----------
1. Transferring through bluetooth doesn't allow multiple files at one go.
2. Problems with using bluetooth headset BH-800.
3. Still not exactly a light phone.
4. Camera will hang if you change modes and pause then continue. Camera will also hang in some other situations. (technically ok if you use it slowly)
5. Camera has slow focus.(Not a problem if you hold the camera button n camera steadily for over 2 seconds.)
6. Totally games unfriendly. Using the movement button (square 4 directional button) is too close to the left n right action buttons.
7. NSU does not have the latest firmware updates.(Not a problem if you're will to travel to the nearest Nokia Care Centre)
8. Radio requires the headset. Would be better if it could give a choice to blast through the speakers
I heard there will be more improvements to 6233 in firmware v4.92 like A2DP features? Looking forward to more features in this great phone.

Hi my name is Mike, I read a comment about getting ur firmware updated to a 4.52 with the nokia 6233 handset. but how? Did u buy the Nokia 6234 vodafone version. Because I kno there is a compatible firmware update for that device. If you could get back at me about this that would be great.

I've had this phone for 3 months now and i love the classy look of the black contrasted with the aluminium surround. (I originally saw the silver one and did not like it at all)
I shopped around for ages and im completely happy with my puchase decision. This phone has everything i could ever wish for, except video calling which i dont use anyway.
Ive upgraded to a 1GB MircoSD so ive nullified any need for a mulitimedia player.
Only issues are, the battery life, randomly crashing when i put large file videos to 'view full screen', laggy photo capture, and the plastic screen strength. Ive chipped it a few times including one that looks like a car windscreen chip. However i think the chips are due to me using a hard cover and getting crap sandwiched inbetween
Another thing is the build quality. The phone doesnt feel as sturdy as my last phone (Sony k700i) it creaks and just doesnt feel very drop friendly.
All in all, its a great phone.
I couldn't imagine that there's a better phone (features and appearance) out there for the price.

Tried the updater on my phone. But it says NO UPDATES AVAILABLE.
I thought the updater would be able to update the nokia 6233 using the nokia 6234.
I tried.. didn't work.. learning experience.
right?

u know what i love this phone regardless of all its faults..yes, ive brought it to a nokia ctr twice..once for upgrade, the other for reflashing (i had a reboot failure)..neverthelss, the phone has a great screen, great sound, feature-packed, quick messaging, customizable interface, ir, bluetooth..woah!

now i swapped this phone -- i miss the stereo speakers on it they were the best part but the not so best part i was lisning music in the loudspeakers from the music player and it restarts --- so the loudspeakers came to a STOP --

i didnt upgrade the firmware it was 3.70 never changed it ...but it had 1 big problem that i hated when i was lisning to music in the music player it switched off by itself (restarts) it was so annoying ...well the good news is that iv SWAPPED nokia 6233 for sonyerricson w810i and w810i rocksss

Hey! Does any of you have a problem w/ their bluetooth.. My problem is i cant send a pic to my sister's Motorola L7 via Bluetooth. It always show the "Sending failed" message. Pls. i want an answer,,

I also facing same problem with my bluetooth. But after upgrading the firmware from 3.70 to 4.52, its function well.
Pls check your firmware by pressing *#0000#

the ringtone is not actually in ascending ring mode, only for the first 4 seconds the ring volume will be low... and for the restart problem, it can be solved by just upgrading your firmware.. and as far as comparing it with 5300, nokia 6233 is far better in all aspects... i am using 6233 for the past 3 months with 1gb card without any probs. i am completely satisfied with 6233

planning to buy one, read all the reviews, but still some confusions to be cleared...
1) camera sound : cant it be really turned OFF?
2)photo quality : is it bad compared to SE K750
3) firmware : in what way does its updating help. is there a need of updating firmware imediately on buying.

there is this dilemma goin in my mind....i have read alot of reviews and user opinions about this phone....
could u please clarify my doubts??
1.does this phone really has a software/firmware problem...as many people have written the phone restarts and music player resets the song beong played....
2.is the ascending ring option the only option to set in the ringtones..?? cant we use it as a normal ring ...not ascending style???
3.what is the best out of sony ericsson's k750i , nokia 6233 or nokia 5300 ??
