here in the philippines, firmware upgrade is free. ive been to a nokia center twice for upgrade and it's included in the warranty

Can you or anyone who knows, tell me the differences between 3g (dual) and gsm and Umts?
In our area video call is not supported.I want to know the differences and the battery usage by these 3 kind of networks.

IF your 6233 is restarting while using the mp3 player, change the dual mode(3G) to gsm. saves battery and solves the problem, though u cant video call in gsm mode.
6233 cant be afflicted with any virus. its series 40.

Maximum acceptable java application file (.jar) size is 1 MB for this phone... You can't install larger file than this limit.. Ok.. There's no way to format by yourself, You've to go to nokia customer care. Ok.. Ppl enjoy this blast nokia phone..

i need help.i try to install one aplication which was 2.3MB.does anybody know how much is the max size we are allow to install per-application?Please advice if anybody know how. Thank you very much.

I have one simple question, does we need Nokia PC suite for USB data transfer? It will be good if phone supports mass storage protocall, thus copying files without any s/w.

I liked this Phone.. but m facing much problem of Restarting. It hungs while in use or sumetimes gets restarts.
The internal memory is said tobe of 6MB but it keeps on decreasing.. now I have just 5kb left (have nothing in tat memory. just 33kb messages and 281kb Applications). Can anyone tell me how to Clear internal memory??
N Also how to know wats OS version is there!!

yes firmware v4.91 is around $10. us dollars.
and it will not be free even around warranty period. warranty of nokia is in charge of PHONE FAILURES. :)

Hey.. YANIPOPO, nice answer to that person,..,, I've one doubt... You've said that version update charges about $10... Is it u.s. Dollors? If the phone still comes under warranty period, why it should be charged? My phone has just two week.. Still under warranty period.. So update should be free or not? Plz Plz Plz answer my question... And I've herd that software n memory card warranty period is just for 3 months, accessories n phone cover warranty period for 6 months, and rest of phone warranty period is for 1 year.. Is this true? Really upgrading is chargeable for me or not? Thanks for your help in advance... Waiting for ur reply.. Fast..

hey.
you said 1. Transferring through bluetooth doesn't allow multiple files, well, ur showing stupidity, it does. first mark the files then send. stupid.
2. Problems with using bluetooth headset BH-800. upgrade to firmware v4.91. costs $10 dollars
3. Still not exactly a light phone. explains it being packed with features.
4. Camera will hang if you change modes and pause then continue. Camera will also hang in some other situations. (technically ok if you use it slowly)
no one reported that thing before. maybe u bought a second hand one or its the dealer.
5. Camera has slow focus.(Not a problem if you hold the camera button n camera steadily for over 2 seconds.) does the camera have autofocus?
6. Totally games unfriendly. Using the movement button (square 4 directional button) is too close to the left n right action buttons. is the game unfriendly or the keypad? ur gettin confused? haha
7. NSU does not have the latest firmware updates.(Not a problem if you're will to travel to the nearest Nokia Care Centre)
duh, u really do need to go to a nokia care center.
8. Radio requires the headset. Would be better if it could give a choice to blast through the speakers. first of all, no mobile can do radio w/o a handsfree equipment. and, u can, use loudspeaker while using it.
