well dude i just got my 6233 back and gave back the otha guy his w810i back.....i like this 6233 my firware is still 3.70 i am going to take it to a Nokia care center soon and upgrade it to 4.91 or wateva the latest is..cant wait to see it afta then wen firware is upgraded...

YES i am sure. just go to a nokia care center. free if within the warranty period. but in philippines not. costs around 10 us dollars

r u sure that v4.91 can rewinding and fast forwarding the video? if it can plz know how u upgrade ur firmware. thanx

Once u upgrade to v4.91 rewinding and fasforwarding of vids is available. so dont blame Nokia or 6233, blame yourselves for not doing so.

hi ALL, after i upgraded the firmware of my phone to v4.91 all the problems (like restarting while playing music) was gone! i payed 10 bucks in the Nokia Svc Centre because warranty is already expired. it shouldve been free. im very happy with this phone now. to ALL, u wont regret buying this phone. mine is a silver one, its much nicer than the black because this one looks classy and professional. planning to buy 2GB of microSD card this month hopefully theres already available here in the Phils.

There's one thing missing on the SPECS page and that is the phone is capable of playing WMA files! Although it seems that it doesn't read WMA tags properly.

Everyone:
This can be used as a Mass Storage Device, and boy thank you Nokia for letting us do so. Also to anyone thinking between this and the 3250, go with the 3250 if you can't live without the S60 OS. Otherwise, you'd be better off spending the price difference on this plus a 2GB MicroSD and a 3.5mm audio adapter remote so you can use REAL ear/head phones.
Don't you guys forget, this also is only one of a few phones that can record video at 640 by 480 and has a resolution of 320 by 240, that has a price like it does right now.
The S40v3 series has got to be one of the fastest and easiest interfaces Nokia has launched. Quite a HUGE leap from 6230(i). It's pretty stable too. I have 4.52 as my firmware, and haven't had any restarts so far.
Another nice addition that I've recently noticed is that my Nokia 6233 can go up to 2-3 days now. The only time you'll really suck the battery dry is if you use the excellent speakers a lot. You can't fault the phone with the kind of power the speakers perform at.
I'm glad a lot of people are liking this phone. It's like a sleeper-hit. :)

Dear Nokia, This phone is an unattractive brick reminiscent of the old 3310. It is uncomfortable to hold with fiddly navigation and overcomplicated menu's. The best phone you ever made by a long stretch is still the 6230. Why have you stopped making it? The 6230i wasn't bad, apart from some software issues but still wasn't as good, and this 6233 seems to be even further away. I thought technology was supposed to improve things for the better? I will not be upgrading my phone with you this year. Sorry Nokia.

I jus got mine this week (monday) V4.91....and i can't complain. i jus love this phone (black). Speakers and video are awesome. I took a video at my work party last nite and everyone was amazed at the clarity of the video. My god i love this phone. Everything works fine no problems, no restarting. Gonna buy a 2GB card next week.

I have the phone for about a month now and I'm pretty happy with it. The software's pretty fast, the display is awesome and the speakers are indeed good. Camera sucks though - rather 0.8 than 2.0 Mp. Overall 9/10. Hope this helps you out yO

1 bad thing though .....the video cant be forward or rewind..when watching them.theres no video player in this 6233...like sonyerricsons have ..

If i were u u better choose this phone (6233) than 3250 and u will never regret.. 3250 was also my choice b4, but after reading the review here in gsmarena bout the 6233, i changed my mind and bought this phone.. i bought the black one and it is version 4.52. it has evrything, 3G, excellent display, xcellent speakers, very good video, faster response, long battery life, smaller and cheaper than 3250! ;)

This phone rocks, i love the sound and the graphic.
Thank Taj Mahal, no choice then to deleted jad aplication since i cant install it. ANyhow, can anybody give website in which provide free dowloads to nice RPG, shoting or sport games? migs sites did provide but i need more option, please advice.

happy new year everybody! i got this phone from my husband two weeks ago, and people, i am telling you this phone has a massive fault: from the moment you get it, it grabs your heart and it wouldn't let you go ever. your heart aches and your hands shake if you can't find it even for one moment, fearing that you might have lost it. it's smooth and shiny (i have the black one) with a colourful display that cheers you up. you simply can't help falling in love with it. i would only like to add that the factory settings for the ringing volume and the keypad tones could have been better. the maximum ringing volume is much too loud while the one next to it is not loud enough. the maximum keypad tone is much too quiet. and another thing: can anyone tell me how to delete tones that i inserted via bluetooth. it doesn't give a delete option.
p.s. i am grateful to gsm arena for helping me make up my mind. very comprehensive and realistic analysis

to taj mahal and YANIPOPO >>ppl iv swapped this phone with W810i and i think im missing 6233 now this is a wicked phone ...i had the silver 1 i didnt like it i might swap back with the guy i got the w810i from....that 6233 was silver ...I WANT IT BACK ....and i will get it back...

Hi guys, when i make a movie from my n6233 camera it do not open/run in the nokia multimedia player (nokia pc suit) when i copy these movies to my pc. What can be the problem plz help me????????????.
