I'm using the supplied HS-23 earpiece to listen to music on my Nokia 6233.

I rate the sound quality as very good, considering it's primarily a mobile phone.

The sound is very clear, though the bass can be stronger.

Then again, earpiece do play a huge part in such things, so you could get an audio adapter and plug in better earphones such as Seinnheiser or Sony ones for better sound reproduction.

Nokia N73 also has stereo speakers but you will observe the stereo sound only if you hear the music by keeping the phone in landscape mode because its first speaker is on the top of the phone and the second one on the bottom. It sounds better but not better than n6233 or n6270.

Actually today i found out that upgrading the firmware to version 4.52 is not a good ideas.

After upgrade to 4.52, you will or may be need to face the problem with the PC Suit software by using default mode.

But if you are using data storage mode then is okau, no problem with it.

If you guys upgrade it to 4.52, it does solve the "Sleep Mode" problem. And you have to face the new problem i mentioned.

Does anyone agree with me, after you upgrade to version 4.52 firmware.

And very much thanks to Mathew also for his reply.I also want to give a suggestion to every guy that don't even think to replace your n6233 or n6270 with any n-series mobile otherwise you will pay for it.I replaced my n6270 with N72 and I am suffering. So go for s40 mobiles, they are fast and impressive compared to symbian phone. And n6233 and n6270 are the best.

I was looking for 6230i, but its view window was small, but I was quite impressed with its features, like 1.3 MP Camera, 1000x8 Phone book, and resolution, plus most IMP for me is Wallet with Personal Notes. I wait, and then 6233 arrived with all the additional features than 6230i, but except my favorite Wallet and its personal notes. I do not understand Why Nokia has removed this feaure from 6233 and 6234?

                          Reply to "jd".

With 6233 phone turn on for "Power Saver" and "Sleep Mode" will let the phone run into problems. (Apply to version 3.70 firmware)

All you need to do is to turn off the "Sleep Mode" will settle everything already. I think this is phose firmware problem. (this is my latest invention/solution for those who don't want to update to latest firmware)

Since newly released phone doesn't have "Sleep Mode" anymore. Not even in N70 and 5300 XpressMusic.

Got mine last week. Bought the black one which I think looks better. The display is beautiful. Only thing about this phone is that the backlight dims too quickly for any prolonged view of text.

If u wish to increase the font size, just go to settings>display>font... that will solve ur problem.. as for video recording, u can record on VGA resolution as long as u have space on ur phone... sms storage, the inbox uses the phone memory, so if u have space, u can go on storing them... the mp3 quality is excellent, base element is close to comfort, equalizer is good... u can also put a 2GB card in it if u wish, no problem... camera quality is average in snap shot... but excellent during video recordings, VGA resolution helps... battery life is decent, i listen to MP3 almost 4hrs in a day, no problem as such...good phone..would recommend to every one who dosnt minding losing much on the snapshot...
