i read in the review that it has a user definded time jump in media player of a minimum of 10 seconds .. what does that mean? any1 knows?

I want to buy this phone soon due to its VGA video capturing ..... can any one please tell me its camera performance briefly. and whats the performance in night with night mode.

this is a good state of the art phone but suffers with screen collapse when switching applications.This is a software problem no doubt but I am on my 3rd with the same problem. The e mail does not work however many times it is configerated.The battery life is poooooooor.

the fone is great.. s40 is better than s60 because it runs faster and you wont be lagging all the time.. it also has minimal threats from viruses like commwarrior because they usually attack symbian s60 fones..

1. how to use FF/REV option in 6233 media player?
2. can v install other players like smart movie or dvd players in 6233?

It is strange that there is "FF/REW Interval" Setting option in media player but the player does not show any buttons to do FF or REW for currently played video or music file, I tried all the keys with no result. Any one knows how to use these options?

I bought this phone 2 days ago, it is realy good phone, bright display, superb sound with EQ, good camera, but still have difficulties to do the following, so if any one knows how, please help.
1- I created several contact groups and add many names to each group, but I still have many names that do not belong to any groups, the problem is that the phone does not list or sort the contacts that do not belong to any group, instead it shows all contacts that do not belong to current opened group, so I sometimes forget if the current contact have been added to other group or not.
2- The second problem which I noticed quickly is that there is no control on display brightness, I want to lower it down to save battery but I do not know how.
3- How can I change font size for main menu and sub menues, there is option to change font for messages, web and contact names but I did not find any way to change menues font size.

if any one 6233 restarts do this to avoid it go to ==settings=display=power saver== it switches the restarting off totally iv done it with my 6233 im a proud owner of it

The nokia 6233 is great, however, there is no flash with the camera. I was wondering if to buy the 6230i or the 6233?

I have been using this phone for 3 weeks and I have to say I really like it. There is only 1 problem. When I click the 'capture' butten to take a picture the phone freezes for a moment and then say: 'operation failed!' and no picture can be taken. I have tried saving to phone or memory but the same result. (fw version 3.7)

It depends on what do u need from a phone. How much of a mobile geek u are or if u want to compare it with some other mobile. Anyway in my opinion it is an excellent piece in an affordable price. Its only drawback to me is absence of any sort of flash, which makes it impossible to take any decent pics at night. Sound quality is excellent both from the speakers and the headphones.User interface is very fast and friendly, no hang ups or freezing so far. You can download a number of games but no useful applications are available as u see in series 60 phones eg N70. All in all great experience, but avoid the black colour, because the silver color is stunning.
