to dutch-> its very funny that you couldnt change the fonts in your menu. I can. I can set my menu view to: list, grid, grid with labels and tab. I think that the reason is that you just dont know how t play around with this phone. To do that, you just go to your menu and press options, then you press Main menu view. There you go!, set to your desired menu views.

Currently I have 240 messages in my inbox, 276 messages in sent items & 33 messages in saved items. ..Total=549 messages. ..still going good. , ..no "message memory full" indication as yet !!

I visited a Nokia Customer Care Center last weekend to upgrade the firmware of my 6233 from v3.70 to v4.52 and the experience has so far been pleasant as the sudden restarts of the MP3 player have been resolved.
But from a visual point of view, I have not spotted any changes between the two firmwares.
The font size in all menu modes are still small and I have not been able to adjusted them.
Changing themes still resets the ringtone to nokia default.
As far as the speed of a 1MB memory card is concerned, there is, in my opinion, a negligible delay when you compare it to access direct from the phone memory.
All in all, it's a good and use friendly phone.

Is it possible to make the time and date appear larger on the screen? Ditto with the signal strength meter and battery. Some of us older guys do not see well, even with glasses. I can't find a way to do this in the owner's manual or at the Nokia Website.
Also, has anyone found cases for the 6233? I tend to drop phones - that's an age thing, too - and I've used Body Glove/Fellows cell suits to proect phones I've previously had. They have a belt clip (important for me) and the phone can be used without removing it from the case (also important for me to reduce dropping potential).

Hi there, this should be my last message to share for Nokia6233, after the disappointment, now gave up. Not only MP3 restarting now, so long I use it slightly heavy, means some MP3's, video or photo, it will also restart. Fm once a while, become often, oh shit!!, Nokia centre also trying entertain cust. just telling something else instead of solving(in fact, they can't at all) unlike previous where helpfull & providing useful advise. Now, I've got only 2 roads ahead..get another model or switch to SE instead, as heard now SE is catching up.
Hi DonAndress, thanks for your reply, only thing I don't trust Nokia now as upgrading firmware doesn't mean solving problem but end up create other problems. Bye 6233fans....(*_*).

I like the phone, but had problems with some appication still unresolved , but changed handset all fine now, the other is code restriction , but just take to your noika shop and all sorted, camera and radio good so is alarm full screenviewing too love it was undecided between the n73 and this , i know completley different phones but like this one

Hi, I want to know about the battery in this phone. Will the battery charge last for atleast 24 hours if I play music and FM radio for 3-4 hours in a day through speakers and about 1 hour of talktime.

how much inbox capacity does the 6233 have ??? sent items?? etc...i wann know the inbox capacity,,,hope its not limited..and i hope i has a dynamic memory for storing txts

i saw some questions...
i ll tell for few...
1. it has organiser, u can set the ringtone.
2. the photocall function is really good, it shows the pic for the whole screeen 320X240 size.
3. u can also take pics in both landscape and portrait modes.
4. yes, u can transfer more than 6 MB files via bluetooth, but for motorola phones its not supporting..
may be that is prob in motorola mobiles...
5. PC suit is available for this model, that cd is coming with the package itself.
but u have to buy USB cable or bluetooth seperately.
6. video quality is also gud in 6233.
ALSO GUYS APART FROM THIS I HAVE FEW DOUBTS.
1. while ur mobile is restarting when we use FM or music player for long time?
2. how is the picture quality, have u take any prints from it?
please reply me as soon as possible

Can any one tell me if this phone has organizer functionality that let choose what ringtone I want to hear, and if there is a capability to choose certain days of the week in repeat function?
Please answer me because I will not buy this phone if it does not have this funcionality.

Why don't you go for the new available 4.5 firmware? Maybe that would help in your case as long as others say their mobiles work fine...
Besides maybe you, as an advanced 6233 user, can tell me how does the caller presentation (picture) look like? Is it bigger then on older nokia mobiles?

hi ppl...i m planning 2 buy this cell,but hav a couple of queries:
1...with the firmware version v3.57, i've heard dat its not possible to install programs n softwares on it, is this true???
2...if i put d 1GB memcard in it, will i then b able to transfer files larger than 6MB via bluetooth???
3...when connected to the PC via USB, does it have any compatibility issues(i hav PC suite installed)

How does the caller presentation look? How big is caller picture? Is it let's say half of screen or rather small like on 6020?
