Hi I have bought 2 of these phones. I have no regret in buying them. My wifes one is working perfectly. My one is sometimes restarting itself and that has happened numerous times now when checking through all the functions - when the speakers start buzzing then I know it such time again. Otherwise the phone is working perfect. Might it be that there is a glitch in the phones software? Anybody with a suggestion. Maybe there will be a software upgrade soon.

                  Hey Andrew,
the display is great. I've used it out and about, directly under the sun, and it is bliss. Nothing wrong with it, and much better than earlier versions of Nokia phones.

                  Hey Kaps,
Afraid not. I think this is something only symbian phones can perform.

                  cheerio, roger

                        Hey M,
I use a 1gb mem card on my phone, and I must say, this is actually better than the 64mb Nokia supplied me with. Very fast indeed. So no problems there.

                        Hey Jeff,
1- No, the CD does not include wallpapers/themes as this cd is software for your pc only.
2- Notes....As much as the internal memory can acommodate, i suppose. I haven't got many, abotu 80, and i am still able to include more if i need. so I think it takes quite a few.
3- Sorry but I don't know about java, as i only use it very seldomly. I suppose it cannot be bigger than internal memory? Perhaps java appl are not that large anyway - not too sure.
4- Check out this site, this is where i got mine from - http://mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SDSDQ%2D1024
1gb card is under 30 pounds sterling. This is in the UK.

                        Hi Unnamed,
Maybe you are right. I haven't tried bluetoothing in anything larger than the internal memory - But i have managed to send a 10mb file out the other day, to another phone, and it went fine.

                        Hey Jamal,
No question here. I once had a K700i. The nokia 6233 is much better in all aspects, including the sound - MP3, rings, voice, etc.

                        Hey Surferguy,
Any luck with the text message setting?

                        To all users,
HAS anyone read/heard/seen/known about the new firmware out yet?? I've heard things, but nothing concrete and nowhere to check is accuracy. Anyone got any news??

                        Cheerio everyone, - Roger.

i have read so much about this phone but i want to know about voice quality of mp3 and fm radio comparing with SE W700i.

can anyone tell me which phone is best in mp3 listening.

                          thanks

Hi i got this fone a weak ago and i m gona fan of this fan every day passes. It has great display good camera memory card and lots of things to say.
But this techonology which amaze me is that if u try to transfer a file having size more then ur fone memory it directly copies to ur memory card, which is great advancement of new os. And this feature ius not mention in the review how the review the cell it questionable bcoz i feel that lot i=of things remain undiscover the reviews on gsmarena and also mobile-review sites

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this phone after I saw it last week. However, I've a few ques to ask.
                              1) Does the CD includes additional wallpapers and ringtones. Somehow, I felt that the polyphonic ringtones and sms tones are rather limited compare to SE and Samsung. I prefer polyphonic sounds rather than mp3 as my tones.
                              2) How many notes can this phone store?
                              3) Is there any limitation on the size of java application that the phone can take?
                              4) How much does a 512Mb Micro SD Card cost? If I buy this phone, I may want to expand its external memory.
                              Thx

                                @Roger
I read in N73 forum that they use greater memory card and the HP become slower. Have you used greater memory card in your 6233?
Because I hear many times that Nokia has problem with that. Is that true?
I ever read that SE has no problem if you use greater memory card, I never read about motorola or samsung or any other.
                                Thanks

                                      Hey Niazibl,
At the moment there is no program in which you would install on your computer so that you could do a firmware update. This is normally done by Nokia, or via one of the dealers. This is not expensive to do and normally gets done very quickly.
The latest firmware is V3.70 - This is the first and only one ou so far. I am sure Nokia will put another one out soon to cure simple little nags. But this has not been announced, as far as I know.

                                      Hi Faisal,
Ok, there are all memory cards, right?
MicroSD is the mini version of SD (secure digital)
MicroSD is what they ar calling the tiny mini secure digital. Other shops call it transflash.
MMC is multimedia card. Nokia 6230/6230i uses this type of memory.
Transflash - is the new mem card - used on nokia 6233. Very tiny, very similar to MicroSD.
Check out this website, in UK, you'll see what i mean: http://mobymemory.com/SanDisk_Kingmax_512MB_1GB_microSD_micro_SD_Tflash_Transflash_Memory_Cards.asp

                                      Hey Osama Bin Laden,
What would you like me to do? Nokia decided that they will have different memory cards for different phones. If I worked for nokia, i'd make sure i'd sort it out and get them to stick with one card. But they seem to believe people like a change, and something new to go with their new gadget. Was this simple enough, mr Laden?

                                      Hey Trevor,
Not too sure what you mean...the transflash/MicroSD is really tiny, really really small, what can I say?
And everyone is calling MicroSD a Transflash and vice versa. This is not me making it up. Why would I spend time in front of this screen to say things i am not sure of??

                                      Hey Surferguy,
Well, i looked into it a bit. Not much idea what this is, but have you actually got the settings in the right order? Try this:
go to menu > messaging > message settings > text messages > message centres > SIM message centre1 > save.
Obviously, you can create one (on the option below) then save that as your option for text messaging. My message centre number starts with +44... - So you'd have to know the exact number off of Vodafone.
Give it a try, if no good, then email and we look closer into it ok?

                                      Cheerio

                                      roger

                                        Hi roger.
As i know 6233 is a 3G phone, so how exactly do you make a video call since there's no 'front camera lense'? does it play MPEG4/MP4 format video clips like SE or any other phones?
previously i had a nokia6630, on nokia's official website it mentioned that 6630 supports MPEG4, but it didn't instead it supports 3GPP with either H263 or MP4 codec, not entirely an MP4 format right?
                                        Thanks, from Malaysia.
