Bugs?? Nope. All new nokia handphones from 6230i have kinda of "ascending" ringing. It's not a fault but to prevent over loudness during sudden incoming phone calls. If you want a nokia phone without these traits, switch to Symbian S60 smartphone (i.e. 6680, n70, n80 etc)

Pls take your own initiative to look for a mp3 editing software. There should be a few onine that you can download for free. Personally, i'm using Adobe Audition.

They're both not 'bug' at all. Like 6230i, first 6 seconds of incoming call tone or msg tone is low. You can set a short pause at the front of your tone to correct this problem.

I have mine since friday. Is very good. The sound of mp3 is fantastic, very loud and clear. The software is very fast. But Mine have 2 bugs. The first is anytime i change the theme the profile change too and is necessary introduced the tones of callings and msg. The second is about the sound of msg's. When i chose the sound is very loud, but after you record the sittings and i recived a msg the sound is down.

I think that problem is resolved with update software.

Forgot to mentioned, camera quality is not bad. Picture turns out to be about the same as my Ex-D600 but still can't match W800i due to it's auto focus.

However, like 6280, this is the second phone that equip with VGA (640 x 480 pixel) Video recording! Video recorded is higher is resolution, sharper and the sound is also clear. A short 3min video with the highest quality setting can easily takes 30MB!!!

I am still on honeymoon with this phone! :-)

Yes, acutally phone only had about 5.5mb of internal storage space by default. However, new operating system of this phone allows storing of file received via blueooth to be saved in micro SD card directly so no worries. In singapore, micro SD is consider affordable! (512mb for only $30 check it out @ sim lim)

Overall GOOD phone, very sturdy, good sound stereo speaker sound (my opinion, it's better than D600 or ROKR E1)

It's not true that sound produced by headset is soft. in fact, it's good too thought still can't compared to W800i, but it's very close!

Good firmware my is V3.7.. Doesn't hang or restart!

                  Good keypad! Soft and responsive.

Good battery life. I was trying to drain the battery to prepared it for the 1st charge and you know what, it took more almost 4.5hours of non stop MP3 playback through loudspeaker to drain the 2 bar of battery. FANTASTIC!

Build wise, trust me, this is the 1st nokia after 6210 that has got the firm, non squeaky, sturdy build. Main frame body is made of steel, battery cover and upper top part has got soft rubber finished and my black color eludes the classic'ness that so far only 8800 and produce!

My standard package also comes with a free Nokia latest bluetooth headset Bh-200. It's small and lightweight with v2 compatibility! For singaporean, i encourage you to get it from starhub as they're currently having promotion. (before the price when up to $500+ with 2 yr plan for other service provider)

Lastly, if you don't own the phone pls do not make nonsensical comment, this section is for USER to raise their comment!

                  Cheers! :-)

To D.:there is info about this at nokia's polish webpage, so i think they wouldn't have made a mistake about this, but even if 62333 had 5mb of memory it would be ok cause you are storing all files on memory card, but we've got 2006 so new phones should be equipped with a lot more internal memory

Kieran Mulholland: Yes, 6233 has more performance than D600 (I have D600).Bu t I don't trust Nokia anymore..I had 6230i..a super phone but full of bugs..very bad software..it restarted it self many times. The same with many Nokia phones: N91..E60, etc. Why do u think 6233 wont have the same problems?? Also I this is made with cheep materials..D600 is not powerfull like 6233 but it has perfect software, stability, it's superb..it has class..And I know what I'm talking..cuz I sell phones.
                      Sorry for my language.

this phones has 70mb of internal memory plus microSD card up to 2gb so there's a mistake :)btw,it may look heavy and oversized but it's not, its stainless steel frame is great, imo one of the best nokia's phones nowadays until next version of course:)

Received my Nokia 6233 this morning from Mobile Fun. Ordered yesterday postie delivered first thing today. Really impressed with the phone only had it a few hours & I cant set it down I'm like a child with a new toy. Brilliant sized screen for taking 2 Meagpixel photo's, lovely feel to the phone feels quite weighty as its stainless steel but by no means a brick nor to heavy. Sound quality from the speakers is crystal clear, straightforward menu system not the new 6630, 6680 etc. menu which I found a bit comlicated, (no offence to anyone.) Anyone considering buying one of these phones my advice is run out quick and you wont be disappointed. Just moved up from a Samsung D600, excellent phone but in my opinion wouldn't shed a light on the Nokia. I went for black in colour as there seems to be quite a lot of silver ones about. Hope this review is helpful to someone/someones.

Some people claim that listening to music through the provided headphones is really low and not of very good quality. Is this the case? Anyone with different opinions? If so, maybe it can be corrected in future firmware or by using other headphones.
