no1, 02 May 2009i got dis phone for 2 years and now i got no reception wat ... moreit is very well possible that u might have damaged the internal antenna of your Phone (by dropping on hard surface etc etc )

    well there can be risks when u flash...

    please consult the authorised person(where u take ur phone for flashing)


    and by the way u need flashing only if u feel the OS / firmware in ur phone is not functioning...

      Nokia 6233 seems a great phone, but it might leave a sour taste.
      I have had the Nokia 6233 for two and a half years now and today it finally gave up on me. The on/off button, or rather the switch underneath it is now broken and I have to replace it in order to turn on my phone. So now it's pretty much dead.
      Overall it has been a wonderful phone, very fast and reliable, although some troubles with reception have occurred on several occasions. In the beginning the battery seemed to be quite exceptional - lasted me more than a week with moderate talking and occasional switching off through the night. Camera left a bit to be desired if Nokia still pretend it to be 2 MP, which is apparently impossible for it. But if you settle for good quality "not-2-MP" it's quite nice.
      Sound quality is amazing, and speakers are furious - probably the best feature of the phone.
      But and that's a BUT, I do get the feeling that this phone was built to last. I am almost certain now that Nokia, like most car manufacturers made it to break down completely at a certain point. For about 3 months I had my battery swollen(you tell me, I don't know why), and it's life totally depleted. All of a sudden my battery cover breaks out of the tiniest drop, and now the ON/OFF switch takes a break. I don't even need to mention the memory card cap as I find it inevitable that it's bound to break in every single 6233 out there.
      So my opinion overall is that the 6233 is a great gadget on the inside but a vulnerable little kitten when it comes to its substance. Behind the misleading solid steel frame it's the most fragile phone I have ever owned. Sorry to say but, I think Nokia have made it on purpose. And it's a real pity and a great disappointment.

              maddy, 30 Apr 2009hmmm, they r trying to cheat u... warranty always appli... moreHI maddy thanks for u r help dear. i mailed to nokia they told me that call from nokia care center & we will talk to executive. ok no prob. now my second problem is if i play some high sound songs my right loud speaker get some bad sound chir chir type sound it happens with some songs only why it happen is there any problem with speakers or what plz help me. & thanks in advance

                  i bought 6233 for 13000 in dec 2006. Believe me its the BEST phone manuf by Nokia till date. fallen 100 times but no probl. Sound quality is better than express music, best keypad, no software problems, fully customizable, gr8 camera & display. Having used it for 30 months i have received value for money completely. Only recently i changed the panel, and battery life seems to hv reduced to 1 day.

                  my family has the 5610 / 3500 classic and both fones are rubbish compared to the 6233

                  i cannot bear to sell this phone for fear of buying one with glitches....

                    hey ppl... this is the best phone nokia has ever made. i'v been using it since a year. its got stunning and muscular looks. n its a mini sound station. ppl even mistake it 4 a china set hearing its loud sound. its got lovely camera quality. and video is also very impressive. i'm so happy i cud get my hands on 1 of these masterpiece by nokia. its by far the best mobile. it had not given me any problem at all.. and its so sturdy n well built that it can even survive any considerable damages without any problem. it has fallen lik a 100times but without any problems tho some scratches.and typin in it is a real presure. its got wonderful keypad. battery is not gr8 but it does its work givin 1 day of rough use(1hour of call,consatnt msgn,4hours of music,camera,bluetooth,games).i wud neave consider sellin tis sell no mater wat. too bad nokia stopped makin tis model. i feel so proud havin tis cell esp wen my friends who got express music keeps gettin restartin n hangin probz. this is da best ppl.. try 2 atleast get ur hands on a 2nd hand if u can!

                            hi all,

                            i will give u a simple trick to check if the battery is original or not...

                            its simple.

                            the original battery last longer.. it takes 1hr 55mins to completely charge...(refer manual, it says "The charging time depends on the charger and the battery used. For example, charging a BP-6M Li-Ion battery with the AC-4 charger takes about 1 hour and 55 minutes while the phone is in the standby mode." page #23). i used the AC-4E charger..

                            any battery (BP6M) that takes lesser than this time is surely a fake one..

                            recently i purchased a new battery for my 6233 at a priority dealer for RS1200. whereas the same is available for RS600-700 at other stores.

                            even then my battery is a fake one.
                            it just takes 75 mins to completely charge and does not last as long as the original battery.....

                              wat problems r u facing?

                              is it not giving u sufficient talktime?

                              try discharging battery completely(play some songs or games continuously).

                              then charge completely.

                              a battery needs 2-3 complete cycles of charging-discharging before it can deliver its best...

                                warranty always applies from the date of purchase no matter wat....

                                accessories are warranted for 6 months from the date of purchase and handset for 12 months..

                                even i replaced my headset. they took a photocopy of my bill(with date of purchase) and replaced my headset...

                                u can lodge a complaint in customer court or simply

                                        1) Good Sound quality
                                        2) Better Battery Life
                                        3) Supports Java Games
                                        4) Display is Good.
                                        5) Supports Large varieties of Themes
                                        & many more features...only the thing which makes it down is that we cannot rewing or forward a video & secondly we cannot sis files.
