Nokia 6233 was the best phone available in the market in terms of sound quality through loudspeaker followed by N6290 and n73.but now that it is no longer available in the market there needs to be a successor for this worthy set.musicexpress are a total waste in terms of the above mentioned quality.

Hi I have two sets of 6233(one pre-music edition and one after-music edition).
Good phone, i would have agreed.
For one(the old, pre music edition) i tried to update the software, and it has got a problem. whenever the phone is switched off and on, the application gets reset.
Nokia service case could not repair it after six rounds of service with service charge of one-third of phen cost!!!
so guys, think before you update the sfotware of 6233.

i had this phone in 2008 and i'm so sorry i've lost it in traffic under a bus wheel.yes it has been crushed but it still plays music like nothing happened.You probably don't believe me but i will say it like this---THE BUSS which is heavy approx.2-3t with passengers was CROSSED OVER NOKIA 6233 and 'SHE' was not even change its shape and dimensions for a milimetar!!!!!!only thing that's need to be fixed is screen with couple of breaks!!!!yes that is all that was broken trust me that phone is steel here next to me but i still didn't fixed it.AND IT CAN BE CALLED AND CALL SOMEBODY,PLAY MP3,AAC,MP4,WMA ETC.I GUARANTEE THAT THIS IS ONE VERY VERY QUALITY MOBILE PHONE BASED ON MY UNFORTUNATE EXPIERIENCE.

6720 has a mono speaker - 6233 has stereo speakers
so if u need stereo speakers like 6233 and features like 6720, another mobile i can think of is N79.
please have a look at its features
it costs around 18500 to 19000 INR.

This phone is simply superb. if Nokia can increase the size of the screen and also the camera then this phone is surely gonna be the best in the market. Sound is unmatched- i have this phone for last 2 years and faced no problems at all.........Go get it

I understood one thing. The manufacturers will not pack all features in phone, as i already said, they want to sell other models too..
some phones will be good in sound / camera.
others will be good in user interface...
some will be easy to use...
some phones will be cheap. some are costly.
there are a quite a good number of phones out there in the market.
it is really difficult to choose one....
just we need to look at the features which are useful to us.. dont concentrate on the features which u dont use (or hardly use). By doing this u can save un-necessary investment....

Every phone is good in its own regards...
for example take samsung . their sound quality(thru earphones) is best today comparable to Apple (it is interesting to note that it is samsung who supplies audio chipsets to Apple !!!!)
nokia trusted for their battery and simple to use features (among general public)
sony ericsson famous for their cam work (in youths).... but we need to look in features tat we make use of most

Sorry Maddy,dont be angry man, sory all of the 6233 fans. Im telling u dat dis1 hs good sound but i dont like da other features. Bad phn is bad. Before 2 mnths, once upon a gud day i hd sell dis phn. now ne1 compare it with 3120c.

it is a high end set not mid range.....
it is a s60 mobile and 6233 is s40 series
ideally we should not be comparing with tat...
:)
one can use the compare option in gsmarena.com to compare them side by side...
i think it is price wise too high compared to 6233(which is currently out of market as production stopped)

I feel no matter how costly phone u have, it doesnt really sound sweet thru speakers if u have a mono speaker...
(pls see tat, loudness is entirely different from sweetness :) )

I think there is some prob with ur phone's firmware..
can u pls consult the nearest nokia care and clarify whether flashing and re-installing the software(phone's software with latest firmware) will help it or not..
I believe that installing the latest firmware must solve ur problem... (not sure though)..

While Switching On Bluetooth Which Shows As "Bluetooth Is Switching On" then It's not Getting On And Simply Showing Tat Bluetooth On/Off Option So Pls Tell Me Wat I Have To Do
