Yes this phone supports AVI files through a software called "Smart Movie". You can easily convert your computers' DAT files to AVI through "SMART MOVIE CONVERTER" and then put it in the phone. It used the whole screen of phone to play and quality is much much better than conventional 3gp video files.
So stick to it man.............

To khenny. There is some software for removing virus from Symbian phones on mobango.com. I dont know if it works but it is woarth a try.

phone is great!! I heard that you can adapt video files such avi, divx for playing on this phone. Does anyone knows software used for that?

please help me out. i've forwarded some images to my 6260 from my classmate's cell and i've gotten a virus. i kept having unsent messages in my outbox that i haven't even sent. how could i take that off? anybody....please

just got a brand new 6260 last dec. 2005. it was lov eat first sight since dis had been my dreamfone ever since it was launched in the market. all the basic features are here. d bonus would be the quickword and quickpoint applications. very user-friendly.nice design and ol dat. i just love it so much , oldo it's not a 3G fone. :D

I have used te Nokia 6260 and i will tell you fur sure that its a very nice phone because i love Nokia products and i will do anything to get a good Nokia phone

Well For the one who is below me.. i suggest that you dun use your housing..use your original one.If you want to get a housing for your phone please try and get it genuine and if you are the type who is not good in anything i suggest that you asked the person where you bought from to fix it for you.Its a way of appreciating the customer by doing so.If he says no then to bad.

some help, I replace the Nokia 6260 housing.
Than I find out a few key not working. 2.5.8 and * key, does andybady have idea about that? I recheck it the keybad place cottectly.

Hey everybody! i've had this phone for about 1 month..its a very good phone..the camera is great..the memory is changable..you can put mp3s to the phone..its just an all together great phone! i love it!

heya guyz ive had this phone 4 about 5 weekz now and ive put a 256mb card in it put games and basicllay used it as my old pda and ive found itz about tha same as the zire71 so yer i love it and itz also water ristant becuase a guy trow my phone out side in the rain 4 over 24 hourz and when i found it, it was in perfict working order, so i love this phone, very happy with it, and i dont understand how the nokia comany stoped making them. beucase it the bast smart phone 4 the price and features etc

to the guyzzz below me...
to the man requesting for help in speaker, the low quality of sound for today becomes normal for these time since you are experiencing same problems with the 3230 users. if you wish to listen audio better, purchase a stereo headset, according to the site, it supports that enhancement, not like 7610 which does'nt... furthermore, you can go to the nearest nokia branch so that they could check up your phone. but i'm confused by your problem because i've already heard the sound of 6260 speaker and is similar to the 6600.
to the one mentioning speaker of 6230....
no, theres no way of making 6260 speaker similar to 6230 it is possible if you have stereo headset

Hey i REALLY would appreciate some help with this concern any one who can offer the slightest assistance email me asap. I jus got my nokia 6260 and the loudspeaker(external speaker) volume is extremely low and i can barely hear my ringtones and callers when on speaker phone. if any1 knows how to fix this emal me.
