Can anybody please tell me how to re-format this nokia 6260 and start with fresh? Also When doing this what’s need to be careful?

it's a great phone.almost had all of the important functions.had it for few months before changing to N90.but few minus points:
1.there's no 'reminder' function.
2.alarm clock function is inactive when phone is off(unlike other nokia models)
3.camera 'shutter sound' could not be turned off.
but above all,it's practicality really does compliment the looks.

i just brought this phone.. it's really good.. it has all the tool you need for a cell.. but the bad thing is the cramra is no good.. well it still kick ass hard!

but that just reset the phone to the original setting. i need to fully format my 6260 so that all my message,contact number n setting are gone n look like new.

WARNING : here is codes; use them with care, I'm not responsible for any damage ...
press *#7370# and your phone will display a messange, press yes and then it will ask for a lock code. if you didn't change any codes the factory code is 12345 then press ok and soon afterwards your phone will shut down after it does switch it on and it will display the nokia logo for 5 minutes then it will start-up like the day you brought it if an error appears then just repeat the process until no error is displayed that's it

nice basic phone for people who do not fancy on mega pixel phone. Anyway VGA is gd enough. It does has animated screen savers but u have to download it and install by symbian which is quite unnatural coz SINCE it is a flip phone.. Y bother about the animations? You wouldn't see the graphic most of the time..[no extra front screen] ANd it consumes batt life.. Best part about it is the design kinda of special and with symbian u can even play pokemon in ur phone haha.. It has a FM and slot card GooD enough. U can listen to FM or either MP3s which is not as gd quality as normal MP3 players of course.. But what else do you expect? The price of this phone had dropped a lot and for tt amount of money this phone WORTHS.

Dont waste money on 1 had mine 3 months been flashed twice cpw now charging me £20 to get it replaced .Wont turn on when it does battery lasts 24 hours buttons on top half swivel half dont work half the time.Keeps saying no voice tags saved and beeps till battery dies or battery removed.Had nokia 10 years this is the last.

yes i have bought this phone at last and it is the very best indeed my friend who owns a 30 is quite jealous and so i am proud of my decision. oh which data cable should i buy for the phone cause i don't think tht the DKU 5 is compatible with this model

I have no comment on the 6260 but I have alot to say about the 6255i I have two of them and both are constantly at nokia repair center. One comes back the other goes in. These phone aren't as good as their reputation states in fact I wonder where that reputation came from. My phone have all kinds of software issues, they malfunction, shut off, the headset emblem comes on then you cant hear. I thought it odd that that phone isnt here with all the problems Im sure it would hurt their business to see all the negative remarks. The excuses they give for the malfunctions are unacceptable to me. I've been looking at the motorola phones and they look like a much better purchase, that's where I am going to put my money.

guyz..i need ur opinions pls..i'm kinda confused..which do you think has better performance/value for money between N6260 and N3230?im planning to buy either of the two..I love the design, but hearing the issues of hanging the phone, low sound, screen problems and slow processor, I'm having second thoughts.
Is the mono sound that bad?
and is it true that majority of ppl using this phone are having phone hanging problem? shall i go for a 3230 or this one?(I dont bother about the camera)
please help me through this, I love this cam shell design, but the reviews of this phone has not been good, is it true?
which one should I go for?

I bought this phone today and i am so unhappy about it. I thought it had different kind of sounds on it but it doesn't. It doesn't have any Background. This phone cost me a lot of money. I hope i get some help from you guys. Bye

I have the nokia 6260 for about 4 months and it restarts by itself every single minute and it also scroll down to the profile menu by itself..and the on/off button does not work..can anyone tell me what the problem is ? Pls email me...sweetrya@hotmail.com
