I bought a dark brown few months ago and it's excelent, I never had a problem with it (no restarting, no blanck screen, nothing!).
It feels really great in my hand, the body made of metal is really 'sexy' and the loudspeakers do sound great.
The battery life goes up to 3 or 4 days with regular use (45 min calls, a bunch of sms reading/writing and some pics taken).
I highly recomend it :)

[QUOTE]Hey Liam,
Wanted to know which would be a better phone to use out of the 6270 and the 6280(in terms of video, picture and sound quality as well as other functions)?? Also if the software in 6270 is updated then would the problem of restarting and the screen blacking of the phone b cured???
Would really appreciate any help on this...Thnx[QUOTE]
The 6270 and 6280 are virtually the same phone. The main difference being that the 6280 is 3G and the 6270 is not. Both phones seem to have the occasional rebooting problem, but this isn't really an issue, i've had mine 2 months now almost and its only rebooted twice while i was just trying to do to much. Also bare in mind most new phones have rebooting problems, infact they're not problems, they reboot to stop the phone from actaully crashing, which i'm sure would be much more of a pain. The 6280 is slightly smaller than the 6270, but an advantage of the 6270 is that it has Stereo sound and very good stereo sound. In terms of picture and video quality they're exactly the same. They're basically the same phone just the 6280 has 3G and the extra bits that come with 3G phones. So the choice is yours, i opted for the 6270 because i didn't want to have any of the 3G features and i'm happy with my choice.

well okey nw..ive used dis phone for around 2 months now..and i have discovered the following-excellent sound, the camera is amazing(d problem with it occurs wen u zoom in,oderwise it rocxx!),then the vid. rec. is a bit of a drawback, phone hangs-bad...the upper part is shaky, well ive dropped the phone three.times..and its pretty much scratch resistant..dere is active call recording..it works best with a 512 mb card..and the feel of the altogether is amazing..
i trully loooove my phone..and i would seriously advice people to go ahead and buy this.. (and yea dont buy 6280..i have that phone as well..it has got nothin-sound quality is badddonly 1 speaker..+ it has all the drawbacks of 6270 in it.except its slide is a bit better)

Recently I bought 6270, its wonderful.Sound is too good, treat for music lovers. Yes, I do accept that it supports only 3GP video format. Except this, the phone is really rocks in its class. Sliding design is sexy, weighs 125Gms. But, it seems its weightless.
Camera clarity is good and video recording is good. Keypad is not only big, but sexy. Lot of features with a nominal price.
I really feel proud to own Nokia 6270,because it ROCKS...

Warning!!! Nokia 6270 is nice but it if full of problems... The upper slide cover is shaky, like a latina dancer, the upper slide cover is not made from plastic but from painted aluminium , which means that is get a lot of bad scraches if you drop it, it's battery lasts for max 2,5 days, in video mode you cant fast forward or vice versa (available only in mp3), it also has a problem asking the security code all the time if you activate security checking. Dont buy it. I myself going to sell it when i get the chance.

Hi Guys,
I bought this phone recently and I must say I'm not very happy with it. Firstly, the top part of the phone shakes and feels uneven when closed. Moreover, it is not compact enough and this gives a wobbly feeling to the phone when u hold it. This is kind of irritating for ppl who r using compact well built phones.
Secondly, this phone plays only 3gp files and the video is often not in sync with the audio. This is a big problem for people who love watching videos on cell phone. I had a 6600 before and I feel the videos on that phone were playing perfectly.
The only good feature in 6270 is the music. It rocks..!!!! Looks good...!!!!

hi i bought nokia 6270 before 2 weeks and i found a lot of problems with this.I got problems when transfering files using bluetooth and USB cable. The file is not displaying after copying. (sis files) also there is no facility to search and help. Even older models have this features. And most importantly the photo quality is poor. I'm terribly dissatisfied with this fone. Could anyone help me in this issue?

(in response to below question)
I suggest just trying to firstly run the phone without the 1gb memory card in, or try it with your old card and see if that stops the phone crashing. If doing this doesn't make any difference then it would apear your phone would have a fault. If this is infact the case then firstly see which firmware version is installed on your phone. The latest version for this phone is 3.66.
You can find this out by typing *#0000# and then the next screen wil have those details.
If your version is below that, find a any mobile shop that will upgrade firmware, this may fix the phone.
If not then if you bought your phone from a service provider (eg vodafone) then go see them they'll help you. But if you didn't then try contacting Nokia directly for help, you'll find there contact detials on there website.

hi there,
got the phone few months ago and no problems till now. i recently got a 1gb mem card. after i put it in and uploaded a bunch of songs on it i noticed when i tried to access my contacts, my phone keeps rebooting or shutting down. it does this everytime i try to access contacts or names. i tried rebooting, taking out the mem card, taking out the sim card and putting them back in but to no success! i have no idea what to do but its very frustrating because i can't call anyone unless they are on my recent dial or received calls list! i live in canada but my phone was bought in hk so i'm not sure what to do really. does anyone know a fix to this problem or a # i can call? pls either reply here on the forum or email me. it'd be much appreciated!

Firsly, My quick opinion, I love this phone, i've had it roughly 4-5 weeks and its just the best phone i've ever had, and i've had alot of top end phones.
PROs:
Good Camera
Amazing Screan resolution
Great many features
Great Themes available for the phone
To many things to mention in this small box.
Cons:
Video not great
3GP only support video format
S40 Version 3 - Good but in my opinion should ahve used S60.
Overall 10/10 for this phone. For more information please just email me.
