hi! I want 2 know about 6270 vs samsung d600.
      1) which gives best 3D sound 6270 or d600?
      2) what is the screen size of 6270? In Gsmarena i read it's 35*45 mm. But it is hard 2 believe that a s40 mobile has bigger display than s60 mobiles. So Plz tell me the screen size in mm & which has best display 6270 or d600?

Gsus, I don´t know what you yanks or whatever complain about...
My sample has fast menus (except memory card of course), great speaker/call/audio quality and it works perfectly with the 3.66 firmware...

Find a Nokia Experience Center and ask them how to upgrade the firmware. To find the closest Experience Center go (http://www.nokiausa.com/experience?cpid=ILC-2001-205). Nokia 6270 is not supported by Nokia USA, so upgrading has to be done by an authorized private technician. You can find names of authorized technicians at Nokia Experience Center. They are very helpful at Experience Center and they know at least one authorized technician. If you live in Los Angeles, I know one in this area.

                      @Mike:

                      I couldnt agree less, sorry.

I have a 6270 phone for 3 months and it is the best phone I had. It sounds amazing, it is very fast actually (it's not slow like some 3G phones). And it feels great with that metalic touch in our hands.

The screen in simply amazing, one of the best!

                      Very user friendly.

Based on my 3 month experience, I do recomend it!

mine works perfectly.... SOME OF YOU MAYBE DON'T KNOW HOW TO OPERATE A PHONE PROPERLY or too DEMANDING. why keep complaining anyway? just buy yourself a 5110 for a phone(so no complaining), a digi cam (for a perfect pic), a mp3 player (for better music), and laptop for pete sake!its just a phone with some extra features... not all phones are perfect, all phones has flaws...

The ringer is loud and clear. I have an unlocked Nokia 6270. People don't have to believe in me. The phone is available to try, so if you are interested , you can go to a phone shop and test the phone. Again, the new firmware is very stable and Nokia 6270 with firmware version 3.69 is the best in its class. If you have an unstable phone, upgrade the firmware.

                            TO VICTOR:
What about the ringer quality? Maybe you tell me that this inlocked Nokia (not modified by any carrier) has normal ringers too? COME ON!!!!!!!

And the menu interface is not fast
PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE THIS GUY. He is probably working for Nokia or GSM arena!!!!
Go to any GSM Phone store and check for yourself!

The only perfect Nokia phone today with really fast interface, loud ringer and normal design is my 6170!!!!

                            STOP LYING ABOUT 6270 HERE!

People who played with the phone at a phone store, cannot have the best conclusion. I bought the phone and none of those claims are true. Phone is not slow at all. Nokia 6270 has a fast interface. I had Nokia 3230, SE K700, SE K750 and many more ; but 6270 is the best of those. However, SE K750 has better camera. Please don't mislead other people. This is a free country but misrepresenting is against the law.

In case of my fault of forgetting to click submit botton, I'm reposting the truthful review.

First of all people: don't believe phone reviews of 6270 made by people who never held this so-called multimedia devise. I personally went to GSM Phone store to test 6270 and 7370 models and to my bid dissapontment both devises coudn't perform well as phones.

                                ABOUT 6270
                                Cons:
                                -Very slow menu interfase
-Very slow dialing and phone in general
-The so-called 3d stereo sound is very quiet
-On top of quiet 3d stereo there is only 15 crappy ringtones and there is no even a normal ring-ring
-The rediculous desktop menu style could not be changed into a normal list style

As for the sound quality, I don't know since I didn't get to the point of making a test call. Most likely soud is loud since the phone is of normal thickness (but you never know again: look at the stereo 3d sound).

IT'S A SHAME THAT BY NOW NOKIA ALSO BECAME CRAPPY PHONE MANUFACTURER.
Now we have no normal phone brands in the United States at all!

I bought my Nokia 6270 two weeks ago and I'm very happy with the phone. My 6270 has the latest firmware which is version 3.69. I don't have any restarting problem or white screen. The only problem is the voice mail indicator (voice mail icon), I'm Cingular customer and the problem is because of Cingular Voice Mail program. Phone is not compatible with Cingular Voice Mail program. Again, the new firmware is very stable and Nokia 6270 with firmware version 3.69 is the best in its class.

                                        About this line I wrote:

" The battery life goes up to 3 or 4 days with regular use (45 min calls, a bunch of sms reading/writing and some pics taken)."

Obviously, those numbers are for a single day.
