hi whats it about the battery....therefore had to give my mobile for software reinstallation and in the process lost all my contacts!!! the battery hardly lasts for a day even after that. nokia should have had done a rethink before circulating this beautiful device and put in something which can make the device last atleast for a couple of days!!!!

Can anyone tel me how can i see the call duration running while talking. It only shows call summary after the call is over but i want to view it alongside the call. Pls help

hi to all 6270 users itsa great phone but no software available the speakers a good i need a 3gp converter can any body help where can i get one for free on the net and if any one has software for this phone

hii every1 i jus buyed this phone 3 weekz back.... this phn rockz... loudest n clearest vc ....the camera quality is excellent ....the only problem i encountered tat this phone while recievin data thrg bluetooth save ti in phone memory ..and i hhave to move it into memory card agn and agn ..........can any1 plz telle me how to directly transfer the data into the memory card...i will be thankful.... plz mail me at nitish_0007@yahoo.com

somebody tell me plssss.what type of movie format can be play in nokia 6270?.it say that mpeg4 format can be play.but when i try it keep telling file corrupted.the avi format is the same too.i use the smartmovie converter to convert the movie.plssss tell me..

one thing about this phone every single feature in this phone is really perfect but one thing which is really a problem is the battery time almost every day u need to charge this phone which is not good i thing

hey i just got this phone for 16.8k in india..the phone rocks...except for a symbian..but thts cool..but the battery seems to be bit of unstable..i.e. doesnt stay for long not more than 2 hrs of talk time..
can somebody tell about the battery back up..?

How do i Update my FIRMWARE?? like can i download it from the computer or do i hav to take it to the dealer.
And another thing my 6270 camera doesnt work. it says camera on STAND BY...anyone know anything?

The video recorded using Nokia 6280 unable to play back on Nokia 6270. Any idea what's wrong?

satyam - You can't use .SIS files on this phone as it doesn't support it. The 6270 is an S40 phone where as the phones that support .SIS files are S60. Try looking for .NTH files which is the file extention for the themes on this phone. You can still install .JAR files which are mainly Java games. Visit http://www.iphone-forum.org/ which have these rarer S40 files for this phone.
On a personal note, I got this phone today, its a bit big... Well it lloks bigger than it does on th epics on this site. But it feels very light to hold, the only problem I have is I may have a loose connection on th edata cable as it keeps loosing the connection when you touch the phone. But apart from that I would give it an 8/10 as what lets it down is its size (the 6280 looks much nicer and smaller) and becoz of the S40 Operating System.

Does anyone know if you can use PTT in the UK.
If so how does it work? My phone just says "Unable to switch on push to talk, check settings"

Well Guys this the ultimate phone which anybody can expect from Nokia. It has got everything, from Loud Music to Camera, from Raio to PTT, from Flash to 512MB MMC. I just love this set. This is the loudest set from the Nokia family. Everybody in the metro compartment can hear it when it rings. It has got so much clearity in its voice. Just Amazing.

hey i just recently bought this phone, i think its an excellent phone but i have a question with its battery life? i'll have it fully charged and i'll talk for about an hour and a half, the thing is the battery bar will die down to half, does that seem normal? or should it last longer?

Yes, the speakers are good, very loud. You can watch video clips in fullscreen and qcif only.
