To any Filipino consumers out there:

Hi, I've been trying for ages to get this phone directly from Globe Telecom (So you don't have to go through all the hassle and beaarocracy with NTC in case you need to report a lost phone). BUT THEY DON'T HAVE ANY AVAILABLE UNITS IN THE METRO MANILA AREA FOR MORE THAN A MONTH ALREADY!!! Thay said Nokia (Phils.) does not have any stocks at the moment and will be releasing more units in the market when they get their shipment. Can someone please help me... Does anybody know of any Globe Business Center who still have this phone in stock?

Hey ya'll... I have an important question before I go ahead and purchase Nokia 6270.

Please help me out people, I would appreciate that:

When you use a memorycard, is it NECESSARY to copy the file to phonememory in addition to use it as a ringtone?

Or is it necessary to copy a photo from memorycard to phonememory to use it as a caller ID?

Because the phonememory is so small, only 9 mb, the really old Samsung e700 had 9 mb, and it only has vga camera and no mp3...

Anyone can help me out? Thank you!!

                To Jim

I had the same problem with my 512mb Nokia memory card. I backed up all my files to my computer without using the PC suite software. PC suite software couldn't back up my files so I used copy and paste to do the backup. Then I reformatted the memory card. After trying to save images on memory carda few times, it finally worked again. Do you have any restarting problems? Please let me know...good luck!

I love this phone. wanted the n80 but its not available. shopped around for weeks at every phone possible and found this phone and loved it. the sound and pics are awsome but not really impressed with video. one of the only phones that covers almost every feature available on mobile technology. bit bulky though.

still trying to find more themes and games. you can get some ringtones themes and a game in nokia.com on your phone web browser to download for FREE! if anyone knows anything bout software that can improve the phone features or find any other games and themes, please let me know

                    I have a problem with my 6270;
When I set the image and video storage from the camera to anywhere on the SD card it takes the image/video then says "UNABLE TO SAVE FILE" then "CAMERA ON STANDBY". When it is set to the default it takes pictures fine.
                    Any reasons/solutions?

Well, i personally do charge my battery every night. My battery is at that time usually 50% empty. That´s because I listen to music - a lot. I also take a lot of pics and videos.
But I´d say that with average use the phone battery lasts atleast two days.
The good side is that the battery is recharged very fast.

You must order GPRS/MMS settings from your opertor via internet or customer service if you wish to send multimedia messages (MMS) or use GPRS.

An excellent phone. Nokia has used good material in costruction of this phone. The outer body and the battery cover are made up of metal. The phone is having excellent screen (240x320) with a very good User Interface. The UI is so user friendly that you won't even feel the absesence of a Symbian OS. The later makes the phone operate at good speed. Camera is excellent except for the vedio. Excellent sound quality from stereo speakers. 512MB (miniSD) card bundled with the phone is a plus. Good synchronisation speed. Great connectivity options (USB, BT 2.0, IR). MUST BUY...good for Rs. 16500.

Its NOT a S60 fone its a S40.but the S40, better user interface than say a 6230i, but still NOT symbian.

6280 is the 3G version of this fone with less memory & smaller mem card.

Google 6270 themes. Loads of hits,
