Okay so we've established some phones have a sliding mechanism gap that causes an annoying sound when vibrating.
Does anybody know if this is covered under Nokia warranty? I don't want to keep a faulty manufactured phone as it can probably break easier than a solid model and the vibrating noise it makes is quite annoying.
Other than that, this phone is great.

have this phone for likeover a month, have found no problems actulaly, mine came witha 512 memory chip with it, the camera working fine. No hissing sound so i guess its a handset problem. the only problem i found with it is that when i tranfer songs using a bluetooth they first get saved in phone memory and then i have to tranfer them to the memory chip, so i can't tranfer more than 2 song.
overall a good phone, i had first thorught abt going fr the 6680, but i am glad i went in for this one.

hi well i've heard all the probs with this fone (like-restarting,hissing sound,cracky design when slide opened) but i still gonna go with it....the queries i hav now r:-
1)N E chance of getting MS word in this fone?
2)Is java games transfer through bt possible? tell me symbian games surely wont run????
3)Is the brown model like scratch proof or somethin....like samsung e-730 ??
n e thing u guys wanna add from urself plzz do

coz i try tp put mpeg4 file in the phone open it ..but cant .....

hi guys,
i have a nokia 6630 with me. wanted to upgrade to a new model. the nokia N series is costing a lot to me so i might prefer the new NOKIA 6270. i have gone thru all ur opinions so pls let me know does all the models of 6270 have that sound problem and bugs in it. pls let me know soon cause i wanna buy it tomorrow

Hi All,
Am planning to buy the nokia 6270. Am using motoe398 and its time to upgrade it.6270 is availabl for Rs16000 (360USD).The only other chice that i have is nokia 3250 which is still not launched.i would like to know about the camera quality and the firmware upgrade.I have read this review as well as mobile forum and can see that this phone has got lots of bugs.Does the firmware upgrade remove them ?? So I can get one :)

As far as i know..
People in other forums have the latest firmware already.. the one i mentioned.. simply because i told them to prove it..
So they took a picture of their phone with the latest firmware showing..
That was kinda shocking.. and that makes me believe the latest firmware is out!!
Email Nokia Europe and ask them about it..
You never know.. they might tell you a different story, and let me know.

2)my 6270 also has an annoying hissing sound when you send our receive calls...anyone else?
3)i confirm, the 6270 i have tends to wiggle when opened due to small gap in the slider. this also causes an annoying buzzing sound when the vibration alert is used.

I just called a nokia service center here in makati, philippines and i was told that as far as they're concerned, they have not been advised or told about any firmware upgrade for nokia 6270. When i mentioned that i saw the information in a forum thread over the internet, they said that it was strange since nokia philippines hadn't told them even that there was a firmware upgrade being developed for nokia 6270. darn, i thought i'd finally get rid of the bugs in this phone.

hey there, hav a prob with the memory card.
gave it a password protection specially for the memory and now the memory folder does not show up in the gallery nor is it assessible through the USB.
pls help.

N80 is goin to be dual UMTS frequency..
That would be nice then.. but then i gotta know this from a PRO..
I don't mean to not follow your judgment!!
Because your the only one who's sayin this.. even the N80 page don't even mention about the dual UMTS.. i gotta know this from a PRO or Nokia tech..

PLEASE HELP!
I really like my new 6270, but the power button stopped working recently & this became a big problem when someone removed my battery. Has anyone had & fixed this problem before on the 6270.

well i drained the battery for the first time and i put it in the charger firmly and made sure its plugged in properly for overnight charging. i woke up this morning and when i press the power button the phone would flash a white screen and turn off ? OMG what is wrong with it :( some1 please help
