Hi guys
Remember I posted my problem with Nokia 6270 (auto reboot) few days ago?
The phone now is back to Nokia for motherboard replacement.
But the dissapointed part is Nokia Malaysia already took close to 7 days and yet status that I get is phone still under repair and nobody can give estimates when will it be ready.
I've contacted Nokia Careline but nothing positive so far.
Service center keep saying waiting for parts from Nokia and Nokia is giving excuse to me they will check with Service center and get back to me.
The phone spent 50% of his 1st months of ownership in Service Center now.
Will update once I got it back.
Cheers

I have the 750, SE service really sucks, no, is non existant, takes great photo's if you want a camera, IU not as friendly as nokia, small size for me, not quad band as 6270, keys are a little small, screen not as big and less resolution than 6270, upgrading firmware a pain, i have the 6270 on order, glad to sell the 750 at a good price, only 2 months old, like new.

This is for Nicholas Gage and HV. The 6270 is a S40 phone not a S60 so you can't put your own software on the phone.

Lovely, I did some testing amd reason for the ascending ringintone was not solved when I reloaded my battery to maximum (this happens relativly fast, which is good), I solved the problem by simply restarting my phone. Both message and ringintone is normal now. Maybe the phone gets "tired" when it is on non-stop for several weeks...? Try it out gwapz.
I´ll still report this to the customer service and ask when a new firmware is scheduled to be released.

Apreciate it gwapz, I´ll probably go whining to customer service if it does not return to normal soon. Or then I´ll just count on a firmware update. Anyway, its quite odd that the problem didn´t come earlier... Been using the phone for several weeks without problems... Weird...

My older question still waiting answer, but now an other thing came up: The ringtone seems to be ascending when somebody is calling even though I have set the ringing style to normal? Why does this occur? Anyone? Or should I go whining to customer service? It has worked fine this far.

Nope!! Lex
Its totally Nokia too me..
Just looks like Samsung's Slider.. but when you have it in your palms..
Unbelievable feeling.. Can't forget that moment..
Never felt that since the 7650 era!

Does anyone else think this looks and feels just like the old Samsung D410? (minus the aerial?)

You know what.. i have both 6270 and 6680..
Their both good phones..
Hey Nokia slider had improved compared to the 1st one which is the 7650.. the 7650 didn't have a spring mechanism to slide the phone.. you had to push it up manualy and push down manualy.. but on the 6270 one slight push of your thumb. there goes the phone goin up automatically.
So don't say it didn't improved.
Good Luck on your choice..
Both phones have their both differences depends what you like..
I like em both.. Great Phones! Highly Recommended.

Got this baby about two weeks ago here in Canada (imported by my friends' cell phone store from HK) and I have had NO problems whatsoever with this phone. Mine is solid, has not crashed and has no space in the slider mechanism. Also, I have Rogers as a carrier and have no problems with my "message waiting" indicator displaying or not displaying when I get a msg.
This phone kicks absolute ass!
My only question is: has anybody tried connecting Bluetooth headphones to this? I want to use my phone as my mp3 player when I go to the gym, but want to leave it in my gym bag, rather than carry it around with me at all times.
Does anyone know if the Logitech or Toshiba wireless BT headphones are compatible with the media player on the 6270??? I know the Toshiba specs say that it will only work with Windows Media apps, but I was wondering if any other brands worked. Let me know, cuz I want to set myself up wirelessly to hit the weight room and treadmill. Thanks,
C

I am not sure if this has been asked yet: What resolution do you have to have on a picture if you want to add the picture to a name in the phonebook and see the fullsize image when the person is calling? Thank you for your patience.

Yess I checked out the Greek website..
Funny.. even do i couldn't understand what's in the site.. still found what i was lookin for..
The site is in greek..
So yeah i think you have a limited warranty in greece, simply because the phone is on the greek nokia website..
unlike the US..
So give em a call or email them!
GOOD LUCK on that..
oh yah.. the battery life.. it depends on the usage.. but mostly max is 2 days.. sad to know.. i wish i could have more right?
Anyways anymore question just simply ask.. i will be glad to answer you.

I am located in Greece. I have to go the store and check if it's under the warranty. I'll let you know.
I also get blank white screens while i'm in the menu, sth that I think I read is happening with other phones, too, right?
Another question: battery life 2 days only???

What kind of question is does all 6270 have problems?
Come on mann!! use your common sense..
You do know that they made at least 1 million units of these right?
You think there are millions of us here post our problems with the phone?
In fact if it does happen that all the 6270 has problems.. Nokia would stop the manufacture and call for every 6270 and they will give you refund..
just like X-Box.. i don't know if you heard the story..
So the bottom line is.. these are few people who's having problems with their 6270..
Its a man made!! Its not a GOD made.. so it doesn't have to be perfect!
