Hey...
The Security code is 12345... This phone doesn't support .SIS file as it is not loaded with Symbian Operating System... When recieving a file, if the phone memory cannot hold this file it is automatically saved on the memory card (if the space in the memory card is adequate)... that's all. Cheers :)

big files connot go in my 6280 phone.it says memory full and sending failed.when i send from my computer.i want to send files to memory card directly

wat im gonna say is OMG. my new phone doesn't support sis files. so how am i gonna install all those softwares and applications. does all phones doesnt support these files or onli mine???

i got mine on contract about a month a go and its ok except for randomly switching off and back on which i find highly annoying and the phone itself has next to nothing memory so now own a 512mb card but need a 1gig iaint gonna start on the memory as its ok all ya gotta do si get a memory card and aim at making the phone look more cool and kick ass just it randomly switching off is well annoying i mean i have had my nokia 6230 for a year and its only done that 5times and its been used aot and yet this 6280 has already done it twice as much yet only one month old

People Listen up....
I have got a Nokia Firware Upgrading Software Called "Phoenix Service SW 2006 v12.5.136.exe" & a Firware for Nokia 6280 (v3.70).
But when I install the Software mentioned above it says "Dongle Needs to be connected".
What the heck is that about?
Please help...

Can anyone tell me when I receive a picture or an mp3 or a video where does the phone save them???? In the phone memory automatically or in the memory card automatically.... ????? pls tell me ...i love this phone and i want to buy it

Thanks for your advice. Well i send the phone to Nokia care centre to format my phone and did a software upgrade, only to be collected in few days time.
The guy at the counter was kind of surprised that my screen turns white with only the battery indicator.
Hope when the time for me to collect, everything will turn out fine.

For those with the following problems: Re-setting while playing music and Difficulty sending out sms, here are a few solutions that work:
1.) Arrange your music files under new folders (folders that you create immediately after entering the mmc icon), then separate mp3 files from aac files. This implies that you won't be saving your music files under the "EXTRA" folder provided by the memory card. Even PC Suite encounters trouble reading items saved under the "EXTRA" folder. This will stop the "bleep then re-start" problem.
2.) For 6280's with difficulty sending sms, simply go to settings-phone-network mode then change from dual mode or umts to gsm. That takes care of the sending lag and does not affect web browsing and data transfer speed rates.
I hope this helps, it sure did a lot for my phone. The looks is just so classy that I eventually held on to it even with the option of changing to a N70 during the 7-day return policy.

Hi Bin,
If u had just read my ordeal on the mini-sd, dun u worry too much.Try to confirm this,
1) Remove batt for 2mins and reinsert it back & power it up. If it still persist that means the phone is out. If seven days exchange is still inforce or wty status is in, go back to where u bought it or send it back to nokia service center and tell them that while u were playing a standard issued game, an incoming call came and rite after u pressed the answer call, it Freeeezed the screen came white and u were not able to hear anything.Thats it and tell no longer.Its not a big deal,dun worry about it :P

Have u installed the ulead software provided?they also have 30days trial for converting to MP4 format but unlimited cenverions to 3gp. Try to put that naruto in and re-convert to MP4. Ulead software is optimised for use in cojunction to 6280. Dun be surprised if the MP4 that can be played in ur 6280 may not be compatible in 3230.

I have tried the new PC Suite,it works fine. Just be careful when downloading certain games or applications. As not all games or applications that support S40 3rd gen phones.
IMPORTANT:
Not sure whther its the phone or the 3rd party Mini-Sd is the problem.
As i mentioned that i had 1gb mini-sd before.It works alright without setting the passwords for the mini-sd.O
ne day my hands are an itch wanting to try to set the password instead.It was till operatable until i decided to delete the pasword cos its troublesome & guess what,my phone freezed! It auto restart and the mini-sd cannot be "seen" by my phone! Damn.The mini-sd also cant be 'seen' by my pc card reader nor my external or even my P50!
After conforming that my phone wasnt faulty(can "see" other mini-sd that was inserted,
i went to the seller,let him check and found out that the card was short-cicuited. I mum and did not tell him wat was the probable cause as i risked losing my 1to1 exchange policy(sorry,i lose some & i win some) He gladly replace with the new mini-sd,formatted it and its good as new. Till now, I dare not set any password to it.
PS; id doesnt happen to the mini-sd supplied by nokia.

6280 CRASHED!!!!!!!
white screen when loading a game...dun know wat the game title....
up to now...can only see a white screen and a battery indicator after the nokia logo...
what can i do?
someone pls advise..
