After removing the message from the Drafts the word still seems to be in the dictionary. (for me anyway, yet to test it with others).

I have recently managed to get my dictionary to save words..

here is how i have acheived this:

          1. Create a new message. (make sure T9 is turned on)

          2. In the 'message:' field type the word you want added to your dictionary. (Once it is not automatically found in the dictionary, your handset will ask you to spell the word.)

          3. Spell the word and then click "save".

          4. Now Press the Hangup Button on your phone (the red one). (The message should be saved to your drafts..)

          5. Now create a new message.. type the word in.. and it should be in your dictionary.

I have tested this on 3 Nokia 6280's With Vodafone Australia Software installed on them and it has been sucessful. (V03.60 10-02-06) not sure how it works on any other model though.

            Hi Tono,

            WCDMA (UMTS)

Wideband Code-Division Multiple-Access (W-CDMA) is one of the main technologies for the implementation of third-generation (3G) cellular systems.
Frequency band:1920 MHz -1980 MHz and 2110 MHz - 2170 MHz (Frequency Division Duplex) UL and DL

Im afraid 6280 does not support CDMA.

                    Hi Vinila,

                    Just clarify before its gonna b a "big mistake" into buying this 6280 here a bit of what we all might wanna know;

                    1)6280 is a s40, so its not a smartphone.

2)6280 has the functionality to display(an option to turn on or off) the active standby which display the calendar, notes, music player and more but not all.

Hint: Dont buy something in the rush..u might spoil your own day. Cheers!

                      Hi Dragos,
As indicated, mine is already 3.65. See whether you can get the software upgraded from Nokia.

                      Hi Prav,
If u were to have a BMW series5, u learn through its manual & understand the characteristic of the car right..?then u will appreciate wat it can do and how to overcome certain difficulties if not u might just spoiled the car and worst, wty can be void to ignorance.
Hope you see where im getting at? Cheers!

i took a pic of my boyfriend which i want to put as my wallpaper

what is pissing me off is that it just does not let me have it in the portrait way - it has his face sideways in landscape

does anyone know how to have it portriat view?

i took the pic in portrait

                            its really pissing me off!!!

I have a question. Does 6280 displays your appointments or things to do for that day when it's on standby mode similar function to n70 and n80. I'm thinking of buying 6280 instead of n80 as it's too expensive. Guys, can you please suggest which one to buy. I want a smart phone which can store all my appointments and meeting schedules. Thanks in advance

                                Hi Khurram,

With the new PC suite(that was included), i found it is very convenient.
                                1) ive used the provided usb cable & no doubt it work pretty well & fast.
                                2) had a infra-red port a get it connected w/o any problems but due to the phone having a time out for its infrared device,it will be disconnected so that it saves on battery consumption.
                                3) Bluetooth seems to be faster in terms of connectivity and bcos it doesnt have time out, it could be available anytime if u need to work it out.The wonderful thing is that it will "connected 6280 pc suite" once it found the phone back in its range when u actuall bring the phone to somewhere else beyond its signal.
Its exciting that now for a S40 can do so much compared to previous version with alot more limitation.

                                Hi Janet,

For the first time, mine took about an hour to fully charge & will last for 2days as i tried out the functions excessively :P after that its still around an hour and last me consistently 2days of use.

                                Hi Dragos,

i've got this phone last week.. everything seems alright. The prize is not so expensive when i compared my fone to N70,(more or less) the specifications were almost the same.In 6280-The picture is good,u can make it in full screen..but not in N70.N70 haas a louder sound.but in 6280, it has equalizer..but it now.. or buy the N93.. (if you can wait!!! hehehe!!!)

                                    Dear Suhaimi,
Thanks for that. Yes it isn't my concern. I am also looking for wallet application. But generaly the fone is ok and I have copied 1.4 GB data in 1 go and it never turned off but I used USB rather than blue tooth. But I have used Infra which is as good as USB.
                                    take care
