This mobile should have been released on the other networks better than the "3" network if you buy mobiles off them you can"t get them unlocked because they put there own software on them an nobody can get them unlocked please get this mobile out Quick Nokia or i will stop buying you mobiles your going to lose your buyers an lose your number 1 spot soon,please get auto focus put on your mobile cameras as well

I'm getting a bit fed up of people saying that this phone is 'out' in the UK.
Okay, so apparently 3 are offering it on new contracts now, but the fact that all the other networks are still fobbing us off with random release dates (including my own) clearly shows that this is phone is far from being 'available'.
I don't see why I should have to change network just to acquire one.
The fact is Nokia have messed up big time with this. They should never have promised a release date of Q4 2005. I know that these things can be delayed, but literally years are spent developing these products and there really is no excuse.
My loyalty to Nokia as a brand has all but disappeared. Like many others here I feel cheated.
If this phone is 'out', try finding one in the high street. Other than 3 it can't be done...
Sunday morning rant over! Too sunny out there to be sat here doing this!

phone is now delayed in UK until end of March - was due to be 1st of Feb - then 27th Feb - now it is delayed until end of March 2006
I have given up waiting for this phone - it will be a year it has taken since appearing on the nokia website as comign soon back in spring of 2005

You state the Nokia 6280 is a worthy loser to phones like the d600 an k750. I'm trying to say that's maybe true in the eyes of the reviewer but not in mine. I do not care, for EXAMPLE, for the quality of pictures it takes. For that, i've got a camera. But I do care for design and let's be honoust, nobody can design a phone better then Nokia.
For that matter I owned the SE w800 but it was really not what I was looking for in a phone. Now i'm waiting patiently to get my own 6280..

does anyone know if the vodaphone version is going to the the all black version as the silver version looks cheap and tacky? I assume the black version is just for 3 subscribers??
If it is silver on vodaphone can the case be changed to a black version using a replacement faceplate?
Any thoughts most appreciated - thanks in advance

Just ordered my 6280 from 3. They are so much cheaper than Orange its unbelievable. I was using a friends 6680 on 3 and his RF was always better than my 6230 on Orange. I'm so fed up of waiting for this phone that I just gave into 3 in the end. It will be here on Tuesday, I can't wait!

It's the design, ease of use and the quality of the materials that makes the Nokia better then other manufacturers. Not the quality of pictures it takes..

i stil can wait for a month for this phone, i wan to see how the phone functioning. seems like a lot of advantages and disadvantages. is this the only new edition OS S40 in nokia collection? actually all nokia phones almost the same, if they used S60 OS..so ..every model same series one will be the same function. so is tat 6280 OS similar wif other phones in nokia? give comments

Unfortunately Nokia is becoming very very slow in releasing their phones. SE P990 that was announced later than NOKIA 6280 has already been released and is already in stores. By the way there is another review of the phone in www.mobile review.com and it doesnt give the phone any praise at all infact the phone is a worthy loser to phones of the same class like SGH D600 and SE k750i. To me it doesnt sound encouraging to wait for a phone that wont live up to its expectations.

Has anyone managed to get the silver version of this phone, because all the sites i have come across (which have stock) picture the silver one but they only have the black one!

phone will hit 3 shops australia middle of next week...confirmed.
The question is...Just how thick is this phone?? is it as thick as samsung 600 slider phone (which is a beautiful design mind u) or fatter? Does it pass for a regular 2g phone?
