Nokia have really made a big mess up with this phone. All the retailers are ready to sell it but haven't had their stock. I phoned up a few places today and from what I gather it should be available in the 2nd week of January, that is of course unless Nokia delay it further.

n6280 wil be soon arrival end of jan 2006 =( i pre-order the phone today. they gave me the A$14 a month plan,plus others cap plan from (3g compy).
i agree wif those ppl, nokia making mistake all da time. stil not much advertisment in asia country, tat means the phone wil not be comming soon compared to europe country.
that is my opinion ^^ dont mind of that^^

i phone o2 up in mid december, they said that it will/should be released in the first/second week of the new year

I agree with the other posts here. Nokia are making a huge mistake in keeping people dangling for so long. I have had their handsets for years and am finally thinking it's time to dump them.
A shame because the 6280 looks like a nice phone. Nokia are deceiving the public and should not make announcements if they cannot follow them up, overwhelming demand or not.

Perhaps due to the overwhelming popularity of this phone - Nokia wanted to make sure they had enough stock for its initial first press release?

I must admitt that I'm also fed up with waiting on this phone. According to Nokia release date (4th quarter) they have one day more :/

I dont understand what takes them so ******* long time to release this phone to the market. For Christ sake its Christmas !! It should already be released !!!
Why announce it in June since the won't be releasing it for the next 6-8 months ??? I'm sick n tired of waiting for nokia 6280 and I dont think its worth waiting for it anymore.
Its a good looking phone, I loved it the first time I saw it n I know this phone got almost everything but what do you need a secondary camera since 3G is not supported in most countries yet ? and besides video calling will cost a fortune. Btw this phone's battery sucks, I'm telling you it will only last for 2 days maybe 3 maximum.
So... i'ld say skip it for nokia 6233. Nokia 6233's only disadvantage is that there is no flash but hey, it has 2mp camera, 70 MB internal memory, no need to mention about external MC up to 2 GB !(important thing), stereo speakers which means great sound quality, and the most important is its battery which its long lasting (a week maybe)

my personal opinion is that samsung slide is better than nokia...
its faster and softer...
nokia slide is kind of heavy...you have to push it harder to open or close...and its not so soft and smood as samsung...

great phone! it has so many great features in rolled into a super-silder.
when i first held the nokia 6280 in my hand i found it quite big. this phone would have evrything if it had the capability to output videos and pictures onto a tv like the D600.
this mobile has been advertised in the carphone warehouse booklet in november at £299 and and this month it has further advertisement in the carphone warehouse december sale, price has also been cut down to £249. however my main concern is that when i tried purchasing the nokia 6280 they keep repeating there has been not even been one nokia 6280 shipped to the country.
when will they finally arrive to the UK?

Hey people, i'm really interested in this phone. i even plan to get it when it's out in Malaysia. I guess this web only tells the advantage of the phone. Does anyone knows anything negative. Not to insult the phone. but you know i just want to know. Please.

i just want the ooinion of the guys who claim they have the phone. Do u think the slide on the phone is better than the slide on the samsung d500. The slide on the d500 is spring assisted and feels firm , but the slide on the nokia does not feel as firm as the d500. it feels a bit loose. what do u guys think.

I had a look at a dummy 6280 in CPW yesterday. Like the size and shape but it seemed very cheap and plasticy.
Hope the real thing is much better. Can anyone comment on how the real phone compares? Other dummies (such as the W800i) don't seem much different to the real thing.

and one more thing...i cant find night mode for video recording...just for pictures...
for pics you have night mode and flash but for video you dont...
my nokia 6630 have that night mode when recording video...with night mode on. video is little bit slow and blurry. on top off all nokia night mode sucks...so maybe were better without it..

no its 15 fps only...
no matter is it vga or cif or whatever. its allways 15 fps...

I went to a 3 store in Central London today. They had the 6280, but only for upgrade customers, not new. They hope to have it available to all customers in January.
I tried out one of the shop handsets - very nice handset. Shame I have to wait for the new customer handsets to come in!

slackspace 6280 records videos 30fps on cif isn't it??and 15fps on vga.do you like video recording? how looks 30 fps cif??

Friends??? i saw that 6280 picture quality was worse than 6270 picture quality according to sample pictures in some forums.Both of them have the same camera??? same chip??? anybody can give information??? any opinions? or isnt true that 6280 is worse?? it's lie?
