nokia6280 ls the phone i have ever saw but the photo quality is not that good when compare with video . really video quality is better compared with nokia N70.out speker is very low compare with normal phone.

To JB: As far as I know, all Nokia handsets have the standard security code of 12345. It's always a 5 digit code. I hope I could help you with this info. Tnx.

the black 6280 is something to die for! though with the issues I've been hearing the 6288 is a great option though I'm inlove with the black 6280!!! T_T help!!!!!!!!

Bought this phone yesterday! I think this is pretty good, as the functions and performance are very satisfactory. For a 3G phone, i wud definitely recommend this phone to anyone. I was a nokia user b4 swithching to Sony Ericsson and then back to Nokia.
Nokia is simply unbeatable, they are still the best overall!

I have 6280 since may 2006. It is good mobile, if you just need phone. I can give 8 out of 10 for this phone and it fulfill my expectation. There are problems though, and many firmware versions with different type of bugs in, and you will have to select the one that is close to your expectation, depending of the functions most often plan to use...
The 64MB card is so small that every time I go anywhere, I need to delete MP3's to free space for picturs or video. In this 64M card good-quality video (good for this phone) is round 3 minutes. And if you fill it - there will be no pictures...so in this way any owner will meet the challenge of buying bigger memory card. It appears, that 6280 is less compatable than the market offer. So when you buy card, try to take some pictures, check if the pictures are whole(with some memory cards, 6280 corrupt pictures), then try some video, even voice recording, and if you succeed with all, only then buy the card. There are several firmware to fix some, but not to take away the memory problems.
The radio is very good if you are near to the station transmiter, otherwise you will have to listen to it mono. The fact that the antenna is the cable of the headset is very bad and many times you will have to keep the cable with hands to have stereo.
There are several bugs with themes, but the themes support is otherwise good, and the 6280 is looking very good with different themes.
The 6280 has a problems with humidity, and I've been several times in situation to restart the phone more than one time to be able to make a call.
That's the problems I have crossed. But I will keep with this phone for at least one year, because the N seria is not the one that I need, because of the price and the symbian, but the successors like 6288 or others are not big step, enough to make me switch.

excellent handset, great screen quality,great camera,video not so hot but 3g tv playback is outstanding,good memory and functionality,odd that previous reviewer had so many problems as i have had none, the only drawback is that with the smallest of knocks the back tends to fall off

1GB memory card works fine. security code might be 12345. My only gripe is in-use battery life.

Woulnd recomend this phone to any1, battery dies after 5-10mins talking,crashes all time, ppl dont recieve messges,had 2 of these phones all wi same faults but now its turned off an will not turn back on.looks like im back to the repair shop (Again). got all these mins an txts to use in a month an cant use a quarter of them as its in repair every month. misshandled was a question but i treat my phones really well an still does this!!!!!

i've been using this phone for about 4months...and im happy with it. the only thing that i dont really want with my phone is PHONE RESTRICTION!,but when i reset it, it comes back to the original setting with i can use it., that flash is not that good, and i cant use the front camera like n70 does!hmp!, the battery doesn't last like other phone.,but there more a lot advantage with this phone...it never hangs, texting is very easy in other words...it is very user friendly...:), the cam is very good specially you are outdoor...it capture pics very good...(i wish it sah autofocus to rwally sharpen the image!sigh!),thats all!

nokia is rubbish, after update the new FW 5.92,the handset can not be activated mp3 player and game together, nokia say that can not be back to pervious FW3.81, strongly complaint nokia without pior notice the user
will miss this function before update the FW

I've been using the handset for eight months. It is a very nice handset with nice design and an easy layout. Battery life is good (if not in a 3G area, switch to 2G to reserve life). The slide can seem a bit loose but after constant usage with care it as retained. The one problem I can find is that when playing multimedia (videos, mp3, games) the handset may suddenly stop and reset itself. I doesn't happen often and is easily bearable.
