Go to menu then settings then display then standby mode settings press select then select active standby then in that menu choose off if that wasnt it in the same menu scroll down to navigation key icons and switch them off, hope that helps

hi all... can anyone tell me if i can activate the front camera by using a software??? and i found something wrong with the internal memory...i don't get more than 1mb of memory free!!!!plz help me...

Hi Guys,
M planning to purchase this unit next month. M trying to collate opinions on this phone. Ive read advantyages, now can anyone PLEASE tell me what disadvatages come with the phone. Is the Slide-feature durable, i have friends who sayd that nokia is not good with slide phone. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated. thanks a million! :)

I just bought this last saturday & this phone has great features.
Problems: POOR BATTERY!!!! >___<
LOW SOUND RECORDING QUALITY!!
PICKY ON SOME APPS! -__-;;;
THE SCREEN SUDDENLY SHUTS OFF! o_O
oh well... i guess there's no such perfect phone?.. -__-
thumbsup for the cam, mp3 player & themes ;D
overall i'll give it an 7/10

This is a great phone..Love it heaps i think this phone is better than the N70s, N73s, so on and so fourth..great phone to have its a must..got awesome features as well

Totally awsome! with 2gig mini sd, i put 400+ mp3, 100+ mp4 movies sound great, movie screen great, stored 7000+ pictures, sound recorder 2hr+ the bad is no belt or cover to protect the phone!

I Love the phone, have no problems yet, pics quality is excellent, i just have one question, any one care to assit:" How do you remove the screem navigation picture?" I have noidea what I have activated , but cannot get it to hide, is it standard, or can it be removed?

its mp3 stereo sound is really great, nice treble, nice equalizer, nice bass, even without megabass (SE's), this phone can beat any other handphone vendor's mp3 quality. i just love it :)

this phone is nice and great but it is low quality... my phone is out for twice since i bought it... they should have quality control... several of my fren have the same thought as this phone is not worth of money... make sure u consider properly before purchasing it...

i have had this mobile for 4 months and it has broken 4 times. the screen goes black with a light behind it and then it will not turn on. i have had it fixed and it is now fine but may i say it has had 4 softwear upgrades and i wouldnt recomend this mobile to any one when there are better phones out there for the same price.

This phone failed me 3 days after i bought it. Memory problem. Brought it to the care centre. They upgraded the firmware. The very next day the phone starts to off by itself and refuse to power up. The nokia screen appears and goes off if u're lucky, or its black black black screen for u. Brought it back to the care centre AGAIN. They up the firmware AGAIN. Its version 05.92 now. Flight mode and white balance adjustments are now implemented. Funny thing is, after goin thru all the problems and havin tots of chucking the phone outta the window 17 floors down many times.. I STILL LOVE THIS PHONE.

I know it sounds like a wierd question, but for anyone who has this phone. Will the alarm still go of even if the phone has been turned off like the earlier model nokias?
If someone could let me know i would be very appreciative

wow this phone rocks cause it is compatible to the Nokia GPS bluetooth module and the 6288 is not compatible....
