This phone has dissapeared off the Nokia Website! What does this mean? :(

It is very expensive in the Philippines while in the other country it's so cheap. Please make it not so Expensive here in the Philippines. I want to buy it but it's almost 12 thousand above. I don't think so that price is applicable it must be lower or cheap so a lot of people can buy it easily !

Why is it that it does not rotate unlike nokia 6260. It looks like 6260 is more higher than it.

In Bangkok saw a plastic dummy phone of the 6290 yesterday. Looks big at first, but when in hand it feels the right size. Very nice. The salesman told me they will have it next month (that's march), for 12500 Bahts = 270 euros. Quite cheap.
The N95 should comme any time soon also.

Here in Thailand it is on the ''coming soon'' list from phone distributor web site. Hope it's true.

oh ya juz found out that 6290 is using FP1...no changing...the test was a special prototype of 6290 to test out the FP2....but still dunno why it was pulled off the asia website....i wonder if it comes to malaysia by June?..anyone who knows..please tell=)

I really wanted this phone.. but its taking forever to come out... so I got the 6131 instead. But this is still defiantely on my wish list. You're right, it will be pretty still competition to the N series and its bound to be cheaper.. at least, lets hope so :)

Actually you can still find the phone, but only on the european websites of Nokia. Maybe are they planning to lauch it first in Europe...

They removed this phone becouse maybe they are planning to release it a little later.(most probabily september).
And it will be s60 3d Edition feature pack 2(not 1).This will be a big add to this phone(fp2 will be really nice with some great new features).Nokia used a 6290 at 3GSM 2007 to demostrate S60 3d Edition Feature Pack 2.

Don't know whats happening with this phone. There a mobile phone shop here in Australia that has put it on their coming soon list yesterday (15th Feb) .. It's a sweet phone I want it now :(

Strange that this phone has been removed from most Nokia websites. Maybe they prefer to lauch it later because it will be cheap and would make difficult the sale of the other upcoming phones like N76. Hope not.

Hmm.. can't say why Nokia pulled it off the website.. but seems as though it will be released end of Feb here in Sweden anyway.
