I had purchased 6300 1 week before and as soon as i reached home and used for the first call, the display became wavy and had to replace with another one on the same day.
The 2nd unit works fine except for the battery back up (remains good for 2-2.5 hrs of talk time) as i'm a heavy user. May be i'll have to have a spare battery always. The internet works good and the display is excellent, but the sound is not to the extent as my previous one SE K750i which sounds awesome.
The font displayed especially in the address book is really excellent with its round edged font style. Was able to transfer some of the photos and the reproduction was crystal clear on its 16M colour display screen.

I have problems charging.when i plug in the charger the screen reads charge not surported if i turn off the phone and try to charge it reads test mode and will not turn back on. I have to leave the phone apart for a day or two so i can restart it again. What is going on?

Kindly expound what you meant with your statement, 'Don't worry about the viruses.' because the 6300 runs on a non-OS s40 and it's somewhat virus-free. Afaik, s40 is also an OS just like s60 and Windows Mobile. Thanks.

My Nokia 6300 was a great phone. Until one day when the unit suddenly turned on and off repeatedly for reasons I didn't know. Many times it was reformatted but to no avail. After a few days, it turned on and off again at any time it wanted to. Got myself a new phone but can't let go of my old 6300 because I really like it. So far, since I stopped using it, it doesn't turn on and off automatically but I lost my contacts in my phonebook and I can't add new contacts anymore! What's wrong with this phone?

Don't worry about viruses. 6300 is non-OS phone so viruses are not harmful for ur phone. They wont infecting ur phone files, msgs etc. Virus actually like an executable progrm/software which work in phone which has operating sistem like symbian s60, UIQ, windows mobile etc. Mostly virus infecting symbian s60 1st, n 2nd edition. The biggest thing when virus coming into ur cell is DO NOT connecting ur phone/MC to ur PC, virus might infect ur PC!

Nokia 6300 is a bad phone. Virus, error and problems. My Nokia LCD is not working. how do one use suca phone. first charge stopped working then it brought virus and now LCD is gone. It is the worse type of Nokia phone.

i like all tha Nokia cell phones v.much butt i like nokia 6300 most.but on these days my 6300 is full of virus so i request you to plz give me some opinion on this what will i do...i am v.worry about this my sms are deleted autometically after some time.so i loss my data.butt i like nokia 6300....

hey guys ds side rohit i used dat phone last 6 months dis phone is awesome and easy to use.i do have a choco colour dis is unique colour i do have.inshort i can say dat dis is awesome phone. u just try at once

ive been using dis phone in a week.. but the battery last only 2 days... but i use mp3 music like 4 hours a day...

I have to disagree.. Mine is almost two years old with an excellent sound quality even on the external speakers and the battery is just perfect. I have to recharge it in every 4th day. Well, I don't use bluetooth and I don't listen to music on it, so it can depends on it I know.

Only problem is the battery..it takes long hours of charging than using the handset..,internal memory is poor..if you could replace the bl 4c for another type of battery w/c will last longer..could've been better.,two thumbs up for the blue lcd at the sides..genuine idea,u dont hv 2 luk over nd over again at the screen f u hv msg..u jst cn notice d light..

I use this phone from the last 2 months the entire features are so good but the batery is not able to work for even 2days this is the main drwaback for this phone and the other features like camera, mp3 player etc., will be so fine rather than other models

Phone is overall nice, regarding features, but battery life is low.sound is also less when played through external speaker.very cute in appearance, good screen quality and photo quality.

fully rough model, i m da user of it currently, 2 much irritating charch 2wice a day fully disgusted evn its 2nd moth dat im using it bt it seems asif its second hand 2 me... i lost my money opssssssssssssss...

Battery is too low and to charge 3-4 times daily. Voice is also not sufficient. All others fatures are satisfactory compared to other models
