Yeah the fake OJ isn't letting his expressions breath making it hard to comprehend and leaving us with a headache instead. Wohoo! And booo! to the fake. Next time, put some punctuation marks on your posts (e.g. period, comma... etc..) and let the reader breathe! Stress! You are just making a mess in this forum.
Anyway.....

Today I bought 5310 full black version Hungary made which came into market only yesterday. It looks damm sexy and it has the latest software 5.81. Now I have put it for charging and will start using from tomorrow. It has some new themes.

I see that quite a few people have been experimenting with BL-5C batteries trying to get it to fit in 6300s.

That battery wasn't designed for the phone but it probably works because of the cross platform compatibility with Nokia phones and Nokia batteries.

I don't like the idea of having to force a battery to work.

Look at it this way. If your car needs a part and you can't get the original, would you take a chance to get a similar part, which simply cannot fit in your car without modifications ? Would you take that chance and force that part to work in your car ?

Where the 6300 and BL-5C is concerned...the long term effect may not be a nice one. I would stick to the respective batteries for the respective phones.

                To MOBZZY:

Hungarian Nokia's are my favourite. My previous phone 6230 was Hungarian made and so is my present phone, 6300. In both cases the display quality exceeded that of other regions.

                European make ONLY for me.

People, yesterday for the first time I tried the 'photo call' feature in my 6300.

Normally I'm not fascinated by that feature because unless the photo is a face shot, it's hard to make out the person's face due to the small photo size.

With the 6300 the photo is huge, almost filling up the screen. This is much nicer compared to previous phones and a hearty welcome in my book. All you 6300 who haven't already tried the photo call feature, try it and tell me what you think.

There are so many things to like about the 6300.

                    To DR. SQUASH:

Seems like the fake have been experimenting with ways to get his computer code to start with 'K'. But there's an error the FAKE made when he posted his opinion and I won't make he/she any wiser by saying what the error was.

Dr. Squash, why on earth would I tell you that playing Santana would break your phone ? That shows that you are gullible, no offence.

Dr. Squash, read between the lines whenever the FAKE impersonates me with a reply and you will see that my way of speech is completely different.

Thanks for your opinion. I preferred 6500 classic only due to its sleek construction. Yesterday I had my hands on it. Believe me it’s not very impressive as keypads are too small and you need to look at them and search before you type a message or dial numbers. Second thing is that the battery charging slot is not conventional but USB type which is definitely not to my liking but 6500 slide has conventional slot. Overall look of the phone is very luxurious specially the bronze one.
I feel any day 6300 tops 6500. In spite of similar features 6300 costs only half of 6500. So why pay extra amount for 6500 for nothing. If you talk about the construction I feel 6300 is more solidly built compared to 6500 classic with brushed aluminum housing which can take easy dent if it fall off your hand. So I dropped the idea of going for 6500 classic.
Appreciate your opinion on 5310 with the latest software V5.81. I bought 5310 phone last year from India which was Chinese made and had some problems like hanging and the sound was not very loud. I am again planning to go for the European make. The one available here in the Middle East is Hungary made. Look forward to you comments.

About the short battery life: I changed mine with a BL-5C, which will fit in perfectly if you peel a bit from the front top of it, so that it can slide under.

This one would be more than 1000 mAh, comparing to the standard battery that is only 860 mAh.

It's better, believe me. At least it won't fail you by the end of the day, as the BL-4C does (especially if you're using the music player a lot).

                        Good luck!

Hey O_J My good man, Why would Santana mp3 break my 6300 ??
I have used this same mp3 in my Motorola E398 and also in my Alcatel OT-S853,.
Do you think the Nokia speaker will not take the "Smooth" intro once a month at least, when i use the chosen profile.
Thanks for the advice anyways and ill be carefull installing rock mp3s on this 6300 handset in that case.

I own this phone, ans I've kept it for more thatn 6 months...
All I can say is the phone is great. Its looks are terrific, and when I first saw it, I thought it was for me.
                                  I can say as pros:

-Screen= Undoubtedly one of the best screen's I've ever seen on a device of such range...adequate size, well balanced in color contrast, shiny and readable under direct sun light...

-Form factor: I love this design, as I am a boy! Pleasantly elegant 4 my taste...People 'round me think da phone is just HOT...And I love candybars anyways!!!!

-S40= Good Platform...Telephony is more than acceptable...I LOVE Nokia PC Suite

-Metallic case: ...cellphones will always drop from ur hand, so Nokia's always been solid and 6300 isn't an exeption.

-Keypad: manageable, althouh it is made of plastic...lovely for texters, no matter fingers size...

-Generally: 6300 is great for me...well balanced functions, decent built in speaker so the ring is loud enough in almost all conditions...mini USB, 2.5 jack...good signal generally speaking (altough this may be subjective 4 U...if U have SE....LOL!!!!) great with Opera Mini 4.0, many downloadable apps on Java are available such as Ebuddy, games, translators...and so..If U dont rely upon WiFI conections, nor VoIP, nor GPS, nor HUGE but moderate mobile storage capacities, nor stoundish pics... then go 4 6300!!!

I could cite some BIG cons:

-Battery life!!!!: Man, BL 4C sucks in this device =(

-NO FLASH....Terrible...U maybe know wot I'm talkin' 'bout... I mean: C'mon NOKIA...you can´t use flash AT ALL, nor even use it as a light..it's just not there...

                                  -NO cover 4 camera lens...BAD

-Camera: not the greatest 2mp camera, as I said no flash, and NO Autofocus, no dedicated button...it could have been better...BUT pics on sunlight aren't that bad...so do not expect the best taken pics from it...

                                  -NO USB charge: thumbs down...=(

-2GB micro sd expansion supported ONLY: thumbs down too! even 5310 gets more than that...BUT, hot swap is possible...just to say...=)

-No IRda:....but...U know...wot for anyways??? jaja...

so...I ve been told that using a BL4C baterry may improve this horrible battery life BIG con...if you manage to instal it inside its space....

aside from this, I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL...I consider myself a Nokia fan...
