I'd like to give a comparison of my 8months old 6300 and few days old MotorokrE6.No critisism only opinion.1)design-6300's display looks bigger than it is in reality.smaller area of keypad gives less tactile feedback.camera looks somewhat empty.lack of side buttons decreases user friendlyness.E6 feels solidly built and very user friendly.display needs protecter.2)display-6300 is unbeatable.E6 seems washed out.3)phonebook-6300 looses to E6 but only for not being a nonOS/nonPDA.4)messaging-takes me only few minutes to type with 6300.E6 is not so in this sector though passable.5)camera-6300 gives quite a fight with E6 even without macromode but looses seriously in the video sector.6300:QCIF(176*144,15fps,3gp).E6:CIF(352*288,15fps,MPEG4).6)corresponding method-both are equal though E6 doesn't have HSCSD.7)games and appications-both are appropriate but 6300's game availabity is more than E6.8)media-E6 supports rm,screen is larger and playback is smoother.6300 supports H.264.but the yellow and red color seemed overprocessed and blurry to me.9)browsing-browsing on E6 is a pleasure indeed as its linuxOS doesn't have any viruses.6300 has OperaMini preinstalled and not bad for a java phone.10)battery-6300 is good for calling, sending SMS,music.browsing and movies drains the battery very fast even without multitasking capabilities.E6 has more longer battery life.the 6300 is a phone for 'like it,than get it'people.E6 makes u think before u buy.within 2011,38% of worlds cellphones will be smartphones and among them the majrity would be touch oriented ones.also Windows and Linux will replace Symbian.if u r in a non 3G area than E6 can be your ideal partner.6300 has become very common in thd hands of people.its features are very common now-a-days.but the purchase is up to you.THNX

      To: Original_Jamaica & Dee

Thanks for the response. I just figure it out that the store where I bought my 6300 replaced the free 128mb to 1gb..That's why I couldn't find the games but anyway I came back to the store, they download many games on my nokia6300...now i'm so happy.

my officemate just bought a 5310 yesterday and boy was i amazed! at first glance u would easily notice it's sleek and stylish design. anyone could fall in love with it at first sight. anyway, i was lucky enough that my officemate let me borrow it for a couple of hours and was able to compare it side by side with my 6300. here are my observations:

              ON LOOKS AND GENERAL FEEL:
-the 5310 is more stylish, trendy, sexy. the 6300 is rather classy, discrete, and professional looking.
-when compared side-by-side the 5310 definitely appears smaller.
-the 5310 feels quite fragile since most parts are made of plastic. the 6300 gives a more sturdy, solid feel because of its stainless steel finish.

              ON SOUND
-the 6300's loudspeaker is louder. however, the 5310 produces richer, "true" stereo sound. the 6300 sounds like mono.
-the 5310's side volume keys sometimes wouldn't work. restarting the phone would fix it.

              ON CAMERA
-the 6300's camera is definitely better. pictures appear sharper and colors are more balanced. this is a wonder considering they are both 2MP.
              -5310 has no "night mode".
-panning and scanning with the 6300's camera is smoother.
-snapshots take twice as long for the 5310 to be processed compared to the 6300. this probably means the 6300 has a faster CPU(?).

considering all these i would say the 5310 is for the hip and trendy who are after looks and loves music a lot. for everything else, i think the 6300 is the better choice (although i might be biased).

The games are on the 128MB memory card that comes with the phone.

Thanks for your input about the firmware. I never thought about the first digit indicating a new rewrite or not.

I heard about 6.02. I heard it was released in January. I check Nokia Software Update site everyday but unfortunately it's not available for my product code yet.

I have been anxiously awaiting it since February.
