I'm sorry some of you can't get a hands on experience with my 6300 because it's battery life is long and ring volume is loud enough. It even seems louder since I updated to 5.50.

battery life is short.
ring volume is low.
slim phone.
key are comfortably spaced and large.
display is good.

i SOLD my 6300
!!!!!
I Was soo disppionted in the battery life
coming from a SE W850i to this was just Heartbreaking becuase of the battery life
i did all i could to keep the battery life as High as i could but nothing worked
thats why i sold it
Otherwise it was a Pleasure using the Nokia 6300 i Loved it aloot
Nokia please do something about Battery life in Upcoming Phones!

Does anybody knows how to limit d data usage of an app(say 5mb max 4 a session)? coz i had an app which has a bug which caused a app to use lots of mbs :(

To keypee,
regarding the serial number, your 6th digit should be 0 and your 7th digit should be 1. If it is like that, its made in finland. Well... As for the bluetooth hacking software you can download it from mobile9.com or www.mobiles24.com by registering. Once you pair your device with the one you want to hack, you can hack in to that device when ever bluetooth is switched on, on that device. You don't have to pair it everytime you want to hack in. You are able to tell how much of the battery power is left even.
And all you guys if anybody else would like to share whether they've got a finland sticker on the back but not the code for finland on the serial number please share.

OMG! is it true that its made in finland if the 7th or 6th digit number of ur serial number is 0 or 1? my cellphone is made in finland but my 6th or 7th digit number is not 0 neither 1... its 4 T_T

Well its like this, in every country there are shops which sell nokia phones besides the authorized dealer/s in that country. In some countries these unauthorized dealers bring phones from china or some other country which were made by nokia but which has small defects in the software or hardware and paste a 'made by nokia', 'made in hungary', 'made in germany' or 'made in finland' sticker. To overcome this problem nokia has given numbers to the countries who make nokia phones and to include that number to the 6th and 7th digits of the phones serial number. Nokia published those numbers with the representing country to the public to make them aware of buying fake or poor quality products. So it is time people stopped buying nokia phones just by looking at the sticker which is under the battery.

Dis phn is really really superrrbbb,,, Im using more than one yr. I have problem in this phone is dat , i cant minimize da application.... Nokia take a nessery action for this for future this model phone,,,,

you have 15 digits on your serial number. I told if 6th and 7th digits are 0 and 1 then its from finland. Not only the 6th digit. 6th and 7th. Also nowadays most nokia phones comes with the 'made by nokia' sticker on the back. That doesn't mean its not made in finland.

I am disagreeing with you. My 6300 is Made in Korea and when i did what you advised with regards to the serial number, i saw the "0" on the 6th place and my phone is a "Made in Korea" one and not a "Made in Finland".

Its battery life is terribly short and ringing volume and voice recorder volume are extremely low. Can't hear your phone ringing when on the road or some crowded area.

in any nokia phone when you press *#06# you get the serial number right? when the serial number displays on your phone check whether the 6th and 7th digits of it are 0 and 1. if so it is made in Finland.

Definatly 1 of the best phones by Nokia but Whats up wit this phones battery!is it th phones power usage coz every new battery i use with this phone doesnt last 2 days.
