This phone does not support Sis also dont support java files larger than 1 MB. its sound is very poor even with the head phones nd its 16M screen is also not that attractive, is very dark. its camera is also very blurry.. so guys if u r planning to buy this mob, just drop it.

i lik this phone, but it's battery sucks. very very poor battery and its design is not gud either. i'm plannin to change this mobile

hey guys, don compare Nokia wid SE phones. SE phones r definitely handy than Nokia. Nokia has poor speed, poor battery and pore Screen, no matter watsoever, whether its 16m color or 3D sound.

I totally agree with Decent. I've been using this phone since 3 months. Its battery was gud, but now its worst. And its so called 16 million colour is worst than SE mobiles, esp not that bright.

This phone is weird.. coz its battery is very cheap, doesn't last for a day either. Its screen says 16 Million color but is worst than SE phones(k800,810) whereas these phone have 256 K color. i will prefer Sony Ericsson in any case. 1

What I would say that MSDict Oxford Medical dictionary which the company says: it is compatible with 6300 is 1 MB in size and 6300 cannot read it!

Sjss: i think the java apps which are more than 1 MB are intended to be used on series-60 (symbian) phones only. haven't seen a series-40 phone that can read apps that are more than 1MB.

This phone does not support Symbian, and this is known, but I have discovered recently in my 6300, is that this phone also cannot read JAVA applications if the file size is about 1 MB or more. My friend's N70 can. This phone is not good neither for sis nor jar

never buy this phone! battery is not very good...only last for a day and have to recharge it.
camera is not the best either. you would think that it's pretty decent but ohh NO! it's blurry and grainy and has a green tinge...this phone is terrible~

i have had my 6300 for a week now and i'm still very much in love with it. i didn't notice any problem with it at all (that's a first time). i guess i could say that this is one of the very few nokia phones that have a very stable software. i have firmware v5.00.
the battery lasts a little longer now, about 1.5days. must be because i don't browse through it as often as i did when i first got it, because of too much excitement.
just about the only thing that annoys me is the dust that got on the screen. apparently this phone is not at all that dust-resistant, and it would be bothersome to unscrew the faceplate just to clean out the insides. i have had my nokia 2626 for over 3 months now and dust never got in the screen (and its cover is easily exchangeable!).

Ohh I remember to tell you the only irritating fault on my girlfriend´s 6300:
The slow memory card reading. As you said the phone reads fast the micro sd card when I browse pictures or any files. But the problem appears when I´m changing my ring tone or message tone, When I change my profile. At that moment my 1gb micro sd opens extremely slow and takes like 20 seconds to open it. But I´m not sure if my .sisx files (That micro sd is from my 5700 for that reason this card has those files) are a factor for that issue.
I coincide with you this 6300 is as fast as my previous 6230 and as my mom has the 6230i I know how slow it is.

That´s all about the firmware, but when I looked at Nokia software updater for new versions it doesn´t displays the 5.50. It displays the same version I got.
The voice recorder issue that you said holds same for this version. But anyway is a very good phone. Even my friends seems more attractive this 6300 than my 5700.

yes i know i owned 2 SE's W850i and K800i only on a trial basis though...
the W850i's D-Pad cracked so i couldnt use it :( and K800i i sold it !
so now i have the 6300 and LOVE IT
(6233 as a 2nd phone)
i Love the XpressMusic Player in this phone it rocks alot better then Walkmans
