I bought my phone just 4 days back. I have observed that when i charge it, the batter indicator keeps moving. I have charged it for nearly 6-8 hrs on the 1st day but it still moves. Even on the 2nd day of using i charged it for 2.5 hrs, it was still moving. How is this possible? How long do i need to charge my phone?

I just bought this phone its been heavily discounted for Christmas I do agree the battery runs out very quickly my last phone was a 6330 I would normally get 3 days from it.
I was playing a game on the phone and it ran out of power, on the plus side it does charge very quickly, its packed full of great features, blue tooth 2 megapixel camera, fab display the phone itself looks great feels very solid.

if your an sms person, this phone is not for you, after a couple of tex about 5 or 8, the power bar is easily lessen and later it going down really fast
too bad for me i have this one, the battery is a nightmare

I understand the battery problems, at first, you really will hate the phone, maybe because the phone is new that's why u use it most of the time, but as the day goes on,the use of the phone will be lessen, only the basic features were use, like txt/call.
Im from the Philippines, and I bought an adaptor for the charger, now it charge 4 only 1hr, then I am having problems on wearing out the battery, knowing that the battery life is short, now the phone last for 2 days, and I need to charge the Phone whenever Im going somewhere, and I can say that Im very satisfied with it.

I even like nokia 6600 rather than this 6300, the battery is is very very poor and the camera sucks, only good at daylight but in night, so ugly

its a very new n good model . i ever seen this kind of mobile before,good look n very good keypad but am not satisfying its GPRS settings n configuration,but am happy with this mobile

i need help in charging the unit. I just bought this unit yesterday ang i wasnt able to check on the battery charging. Im not sure if the package should include the usual charger that we use using 220V (electric socket type) but what i purchased only includes the unit, headset, usb, another battery inserted on a desktop charger and manual. Is the only way to charge the battery through desktop only or the usual charger (electric socket type) can also be used. Did the seller forgot/did not include that charger? help pls i cant use the phone =(

its useless having a nice slim phone, but if the battery is poor the phone is toitally useless, the best criteria looking for a phone is good battery before looking the features

It's true. Everyone who buys this phone has to purchase the usb data cable separately. You can get them very cheaply off eBay if you want one.

go look at every nokia phone ever made and then think over that statement again.
REGARDING THE BATTERY:
Yes the battery life isn't that great on this phone but it's a small sacrifice to make for a phone that has superb features and is being sold for way less than what it's really worth.

hmmm... i bought this phone just a few minutes. wen i charge it 4 the very 1st time.. it explode... its like atomic bomb.. now,, i dont have my nokia 6300 and dont hav my house too.. :(

Before I got this phone I had a 6230 which was an excellent phone.
The 6230 has a higher capacity battery and less power consuming features. The 6300 has a slimmer lower capacity battery because of the required thickness for the phone's finishing.
By far, the 6230 could go three or more days of plenty talking...on a single charge whereas the 6300 goes a full day...and maybe a day and a half if you make lots of call.
I will admit, overall the 6230 (and some others) lasts longer on a single charge BUT I don't have a problem charging my 6300 on a daily basis. I don't know how some of you only get 30 mins. and 1 hour etc. because I get a full day of talk time and I use my phone for heavy calls most days. It lasts me throughout the day until I get home. That's good enough for me.

Great Phone!!!!! but the only drawback is its battery life. It dosen't last even one full day. Nokia should do somthing abt this...

For the people with the battery issues.. Face it almost of all the Nokia new era phones do not have the same charge holding capacity.
For 6300 the batter is if i am right around the 800mah. The display is 16M which is real bright with out any control on the brightness... so i guess if u r gonna go 6300 Its a small price you pay for using style in a cost sensitive way.
But come to think of it the battery is life is better than samsung X820, which is a real good phone.
So the decision is up to you , would u take a phone which is nice to look has almost the features, its not that expensive(very subjective)with the draw back (not for me) that u have to charge every 36-48 hrs..
People who use their phone for more than 4 hrs a day don't buy it...
If u have bought it, stop cribbing , because every body now knows battery is average.
